Nepean Kanata Barracudas -
Ottawa’s #1 Swim Club!
In 1973 the Nepean Swim Club began
teaching kids the sport and spirit of swimming. In 1990 the
Nepean Swim Club and the Bayshore Barracudas amalgamated to form
the Nepean Kanata Barracudas Swim Club, (NKB) - a bigger and more
diverse swim club committed to the same core values. Forty
years later we continue to foster excellence in our swimmers both
inside and outside the pool!
NKB has grown such that it has the
ability to offer swimming programs to all ages and levels.
Junior Barracudas pre-competitive program provides
swimmers aged 6 to 13 with the fundamental skills required to
become a competitive swimmer.
NKB’s competitive program
offers our swimmers the opportunity to train in a supportive and
challenging environment. Our swimmers are athletes
who are committed to being the best they can be. Our youngest
swimmers are 10 and under, and our eldest are returning collegiate
athletes and they compete at all levels – regionally,
provincially, nationally and internationally!
NKB strives to foster an
environment where swimmers can grow and develop into well rounded
individuals. Our swimmers take the skills they learn as
competitive swimmers on into their future successes outsides the
