The Scarborough Swim Club is a
not-for-profit swim club providing professional swim instruction,
training and coaching for competitive swimmers of all ages. The
operations of the Club are overseen by a volunteer Board of
Directors elected annually by the membership and is governed
according to the Club's By-Laws.
The Club primarily operates in the
eastern region of the GTA, including Scarborough, East York and the
Beaches. The Club has been creating champions for over 60
years and has a rich history in Canadian aquatics. For the past
season, the Club had over 130 pre-competitive swimmers and 150
competitive swimmers from the development program all the way up to
the National group. We have been steadily growing the quantitiy and
quality of our swimmers and have moved many of our programs into
the new world-class aquatic facility that was built in Scarborough
for the 2015 Pan-Am Games.
The Club has swimmers representing
Toronto from local competitions up to National Championships and
has a number of swimmers who are nationally ranked in the top 25 in
their age group. Scarborough Swim Club swimmers have attended
Canadian Olympic Trials in 1992 through 2016. Our future looks even
brighter for 2016 and beyond.
