About

The Sherwood Park Swim Club was founded in 2003 as a registered Not for Profit Society. In 2007 the swimmers adopted the Stingray as their mascot and became commonly known as The Sherwood Park Stingrays.

The Club maintains an affiliation with Swim Alberta and Swimming/Natation Canada, (S.N.C.) and adheres to the rules and regulations of these governing bodies.

The Club is run by an elected Board of Directors drawn from the club membership. Elections are held at the Annual General Meeting and all positions are volunteers. The Executive committee meets once a month, or as required. The by-laws of the Club detail the rules, regulations and descriptions of officers in the Club. Copies of the by-laws are available upon request. Minutes of Executive meetings are available by email from the Secretary for members to peruse.

The Lepps family have been actively coaching in Strathcona County since 1988 and have brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the club. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have such mature and professional coaches who are eager to pass on their skills to both junior coaches and swimmers of all levels.
