Team Information

The South Fayette Aqua Club (SFAC) is a competitive swim club associated with USA Swimming.  This information is intended to provide swimmers and their parents with the information about a number of important items which have to do with competitive swimming and our club.  We want everyone to have a sense of belonging to this spirited and dedicated organization.

SFAC is a parent governed tax-exempt organization that is managed by an elected Board of Directors.  The operation of the club and Board of Directors are governed by Club Bylaws.

To educate, instruct and train all individuals in order to develop and improve their capabilities in the sport of competitive swimming.

To create a positive, competitive swimming experience that empowers your people to be lifetime champions in and out of the water.

To teach and train all levels of swimmers to excel competitively as individuals and as an integral member of a team, while promoting the self-discipline, character building, team camaraderie and self-esteem necessary to succeed not only in swimming but also in life away from the pool.

Each member of the aqua club must be a member of USA Swimming.  As the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the United States, USA Swimming is a 400,000-member service organization that promotes the culture of swimming by creating opportunities for swimmers and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in the sport through clubs, events and education.

The USA Swimming membership is comprised of swimmers from the age group level to the Olympic Team, as well as coaches and volunteers.

USA Swimming is responsible for selecting and training teams for international competition including the Olympic Games, and strives to serve the sport through its core objectives:

  • Build the base
