If you are interested in checking our program out to see if it is a fit for your child, let us arrange an assessment for you.  Please call the office to set up the assessment time.  During the assessment we will place your child in the group we feel most meets their level of swimming.  A free day of swimming is offered so you and the swimmer can get to know our coaches and feel comfortable with the group before commmiting to the program.  Call 604-461-0550

About Us

The Hyack Swim Club is a member of Swim BC, not-for-profit Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) and the governing body for competitive swimming In British Columbia.

The Hyack Swim Club was formed in 1973 through an amalgamation of the Burnaby Tyees Swim Club and the New Westminster Y-Kings Swim Club. It is now ranked as one of the top Swim Clubs in Canada.

The Hyack Swim Club is a non-profit society, with income received from monthly fees and various fund raising activities. The money is spent on pool rental, coaching salaries, travel and club administration.

The purpose of the club is to develop competitive excellence, from a Learn-to-Swim level to world-class competition. In doing so, we hope to instill self-discipline, leadership and sportsmanship in all the athletes who swim with us.

The club operates out of six area pools: The Canada Games Pool Fitness Centre in New Westminster, Bonsor Pool in Burnaby, Central Park Pool in Burnaby (summer only), the City Centre Aquatic Complex in Coquitlam, Chimo Pool in Coquitlam and Eagle Ridge Pool in Coquitlam (Sept only). The training of our national swimmers is primarily at the Canada Games Pool.
