The Sahuarita Stingrays Swim Team
is a nonprofit, community based swim team for youth ages 5 to
18. The team started in the late 1960’s and has grown to
as large as 200 youth. During the 2012 swim season we
had a lot of growth due to the new aquatics facility in the Town
Center. Our team is run by a Board of Directors. We
cannot do it all so we rely on our wonderful parent volunteers to
run successful home meets. Please feel free to
contact any of the board members for volunteer
opportunities, questions or concerns.
The Sahuarita Stingrays are proud
to be the 2014 and 2015 Pantano League champions!
Board Meetings are held the 3rd
Thursday of every month at the pool at 5:45pm unless noted on
the team calendar.

Goals: Our objectives this year are quite simple.
Let’s have fun, swim hard, be positive and improve. It is
also imperative for each of you to set personal goals. Whether it
be improving your time, your stroke, getting in better shape or
just having fun with your friends. We feel this is important and we
want to help you meet your goals.
Communication: This website
is the most efficient tool for communicating with the team.
Please check it regularly for updates, meet sign-ups, and
events. Our goal this year is to provide excellent
communication between the Board and the members, so please contact
a Board member if you have any questions or concerns.
PROMPT: Swimmers are expected to practice with their
respective ability groups at their specific location, unless prior
arrangements are made with the coach. This helps the practices run
more smoothly and improve team cohesiveness. If one age/ability
group is overloaded, swimmers may be moved to a less crowded
practice session at the coach’s discretion.
