About Us

We are excited to welcome you and your child to the Alief Aquatic Club! Our team is a USA Swim Club offering quality coaching and advanced technique instruction for all ages and ability levels. We are headquartered in the community of Alief in Houston, Texas. We provide swim lessons for beginner swimmers with programs to accommodate children and adults. Our competitive program offers comprehensive training for swimmers of all competitive backgrounds.

Swim lessons are available for swimmers age four and older. Lessons are based upon a 48  skill, 4-tier program that is designed to prepare swimmers for the subsequent intermediate and competitive groups. Small class sizes ensure that each swimmer receives adequate instruction. We currently limit our instructor-student ratio to 1 to 6.

Once your swimmer progresses through the lesson and intermediate programs, they will begin competitive training. The competitive program is divided into five groups: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Junior Elite, and Senior Elite. Placement in these groups is determined by the coaching staff and is based upon things such as mastery of stroke mechanics and technique, commitment, maturity, and physical fitness levels.  Since 2010, the ALAC competitive program has produced FINA Championship Competitors, NCAA Division I athletes, and countless other successes both in and out of the water.
