The Oregon City
Swim Team (OCST) was founded in 1965 by dedicated
parents interested in an organized swimming program for their
families. The team has evolved from a recreational club to a
competitive swim team, becoming incorporated as a non-profit
organization in 1982. The team is known for its commitment to
participate and excel in state, regional and national competitions.
This has been made possible only by the continuous dedication of
both parents and swimmers throughout the years.
OCST is located at
1211 Jackson Street in Oregon City. The facility has an indoor
six-lane, 25-meter pool with a diving board and water slide. There
is also an outdoor wading pool, showers and locker rooms,
spectactor area, and community room.
OCST's philosophy is
more than just diving into the pool and swimming laps in
preparation for competition. Our professional coaching staff is
interested in helping develop successful people as well as
successful swimmers. In order to achieve our goals, both as a team
and on individual levels, the following objectives have been set
(37 Precomp, 34
Red, 23 White, 14 Blue,
20 Silver, 10 Gold, and 26 Master)
More than 140 families
make up the swim team from all over
the Portland area.
