The Carefree Crocodiles Swim Team
(CCST)is a recreational program
offering children ages 5-17 from the Greenwood and surrounding
communities an opportunity to "get their feet wet" with a splash of
competitive swimming. Our team members practice for 1 hour
four times a week at the Carefree Club Pool. Practices are
mornings on M, T, Th, & F.
View practice schedule. During practices, our coaching staff
provides instruction on proper stroke technique, starts, turns, and
other components necessary to compete in meets. Please note
that the Swim Team is NOT a "Learn To Swim" or swim lessons
program. If you are interested in such a program, please visit our
swim lessons page. While it's not a requirement for team
members to know all the strokes or to have perfect technique, they
must be able to swim comfortably in deep water.
The Swim Team is a
member of the Community Swim Conference, and we swim against four
other teams from the surrounding
Indianapolis area in dual meets. At the end of the season, a
conference meet is held with all five teams participating.
The dual meets, usually 2.5 to 3 hours long, are scheduled in
the evenings beginning the third week in June with Conference meet
scheduled for the third week in July. To see the complete schedule,

Registration for the Summer Season is
available at our
registration page. Registration will
be limited to returning swimmers until April 30, 2014. After
that, the team will be open to anyone interested. Also, the
team will be limited to 145 swimmers. For more information about
the Carefree Crocodiles Fun Run, please visit the
Fun Run page.
Who is running the show?
Crocodiles Swim Team is governed by a board of parent volunteers.
The board meets regularly to attend to the needs of the Swim
Team and works closely with the volunteer board governing our home
pool, Carefree Club, Inc. The CCST is coached by
four coaches. For more information on the board or the
