Silver Streaks Swim
Club
"Do your best to be your best"
2012-2013 Silver Streaks Swim Team
Silver Streaks Swim Club
is a year-round competitive, United States Swimming team based in
White Plains, NY. Founded in 1973 by current head coach Gay
Silverman and her husband, Alan, Silver Streaks works to develop
swimmers from age group swimming to high level competition. Our
training approach emphasizes quality swimming with individualized
attention to each swimmer's strokes and technique.
All team members practice
at the same time, though separated in lanes by ability, which
encourages cohesion and camaraderie among all Silver Streaks
teammates. Each year, younger swimmers are matched with an older
swimmer as "buddies" and they work together throughout the
year.
We believe the
development of swimmers into mature, compassionate adults is just
as important as the development of stroke technique in the pool. We
strive to give every swimmer a supportive environment where they
are able to work hard to achieve their goals.
Our coaching staff
encourages every swimmer to follow our team motto, do your best
to be your best. We help our swimmers reach their full
potential whether it be qualifying for their first Silvers
Championship or Junior Nationals.
