Mission Statement

St. Louis Tsunami Swimming is a community swim team organized and run by parents to meet the needs of families who want their child(ren) to swim with a small club of no more than 40 swimmers.  St. Louis Tsunami Swimming is committed to providing a small club experience where swimmers age 5 to 18 years of age are developed at a pace consistent with their needs and goals.  St. Louis Tsunami Swimming encourages all swimmers to participate in meets and fosters a wide range of competiveness.  St. Louis Tsunami Swimming is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to maintain an affordable cost structure and, where appropriate and possible, subsidize the clubs fees for those unable to pay.

Our Head Coach

Dan Broshears has been St. Louis Tsunami's head coach since 2012.  Coach B, as our swimmers refer to him, has coached year around age group teams, summer recreational teams, and coaches both the boys and girls Webster Groves High School Team, a position he has held for many years.  Coach B also has other coaching experience in non-swimming sports and has dedicated much of his life to coaching young athletes.  Importantly, Coach B has children that swim so he understands the perspective of the parents of swimmers as well.

Coach B is joined by two assistant coaches who were both swimmers and have a love of the sport.
