Welcome to the
Rockford Riptide Swim Program. We are a USA Swimming
sanctioned competitive swim club and part of the Rockford Aquatics
program. For those interested in the Rockford Riptide Program, you
will find plenty of information on our site. While browsing
through the website you will find that our kids are the center of
our program. With a superb coaching staff, our kids experience the
benefits of wonderful instruction and guidance while they develop
their swimming talents. Go to our "New Swimmers" page if you
are new to the program and wish to learn more.
"To introduce young
people to the benefits of competitive swimming and to encourage to
achieve their highest level of potential in and out of the
team is a United States Swimming competitive swim program
and part of Rockford Aquatics which includes water
polo, competitive diving, and competitive, recreation and
instructional swimming programs. The Riptide Swim Team is
designed for swimmers ages five to 18 who meet the minimum
criteria for joining the club. Competitive swimming experience is
not needed prior to joining. Coaches work with swimmers of all
abilities to refine swimming skills, achieve a high
level of physical,
mental, and social competence and help swimmers to become
confident, caring individuals who demonstrate exceptional
leadership and sportsmanship skills."
comprised of several swim sessions over the course of the year.
These sessions vary in length and involve some meet availability in
addition to practices. Fun events like beach parties, banquets,
halloween party, pizza and pool game nights are also included
throughout our year round program.
Riptide coaches are, or have been,
competitive swimmers themselves. They are now passing along their
knowledge along with the latest techniques to our swimmers.
All our coaches are certified with USA Swimming and
participate with on-going top level training.
Riptide swimmers are fantastic! Along with
the support from their families and the instruction from the
coaches, our swimmers learn a lot, build great relationships, and
have fun while developing great swimming techniques and leadership
that they display in every meet.
