Our Mission

The mission of the Santa Fe Aquatic Club is to help competitive swimmers of all ages in the Santa Fe and surrounding areas to reach their optimal performance and attain their individual swimming goals by addressing the physical, mental, nutritional, and technical dimensions of performance in a comprehensive training program.

Who We Are:

The Santa Fe Aquatic Club (SFAC) is a non-profit USA Swimming competitive swim club located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. SFAC offers not only a nationally recognized competitive swim program, but also a variety of other swim programs geared towards the developmental swimmer, Masters Swimmer and Tri-athlete.

Swim Team / Developmental Programs:

Our competitive swim team program was recently established and is offered at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our competitive team ranges from our youngest, beginning at a competitive level to our elite team, which includes Olympic Trial qualifiers. In addition to our competitive team SFAC instructs many swimmers annually in our pre-competitive program,  Junior Swim League, Teen Fit, our Masters program, and our educational, safety and health related programs.

First Class Facilities:

Our team practices at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Genoveva Chavez Community Center is an indoor high altitude (7000 ft.) center that has a 50 meter Olympic pool, indoor track, full weight room, aerobics room, spin room and professional indoor skating rink.


Originally founded in 2009 as the Santa Fe Aquatic Club, our competitive team boasts a highly trained professional coaching staff based on the inspirational principles of our founding coach, Lois Daigneault. Coach Daigneault was the head coach for Macedonia and Canadian swimmers in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and served as the Head Coach of Santa Fe Aquatic Club from 2009-2014.
