All group classes are 45 minutes
and Private lessons are 30 minutes.
Day 1 of each session instructors
do an initial evaluation on the swimmers in their level to ensure
they are in the correct level.
Day 6 of each session is
skills testing and final evaluations.
On Day 6 of each session
instructors will hand out a report card showing the current
progress of your swimmer and what level to register for
next.
Private lessons and clinics
schedules will vary pending availability
Swim Lesson
Policies
Registration
All registrations must be completed online prior to the class
start date. Early registrations help us plan accordingly for
instructors and space need for a successful class.
Registration request after the deadline will be decided on a
case to case basis, based on class size and instructor’s
discretion.
If your desired class is full you can email and request to be
put on the waitlist for that specific class/level.
Swim wear and gear
All participants are required to wear a swim suit in the water.
Girls with long hair should have their hair tied up and a swim
cap on.
All participants are recommended to bring their own goggles.
Instructors do not have goggles for participants to borrow.
Participants will need to have their own towels.
If participants would like to wear a shirt over their suit it
should be a swim shirt that is tight fitted so it does not cause
drag while swimming.
Cancellation/Make
Ups
If a participant misses a group class, there are no available
make ups. We recommend talking with the instructor to help ensure
they get caught up at the next class.
Private lessons must give a minimum of a 48-hour notice if they
are not going to be at their lesson to have a chance to reschedule.
Less than a 48-hour notice is subject to loss of fee and no make-up
option.
If programming is cancelled by the Swim Lesson Coordinator
a make-up date will be offered, if available, and if not
participants will receive a credit for the missed class.
To receive a refund for a registration the request must be made
72-hours prior to the first class.
No refunds will be given after the session begins except due to
medical reasoning with a doctors note.
Class Advancement
Class advancement is based on the participant’s ability
to successfully perform all the required skills in the level.
Participants that are not able to perform all the required
skills should repeat the same level.
Each level has prerequisites that participants should be able
to demonstrate on day 1.
If a participant is not successful in meeting the prerequisite
skills, they will not be able to continue in that class.
