Our club
is a USA Swimming year round competitive swim team offering high
quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all
ages and abilities.
Our team
mission is: "Seeking to provide an opportunity for all swimmers and
divers, regardless of age and ability, to reach their highest
personal potential through self-discipline, teamwork, and
sportsmanship."
The goal
of the Aquastorm Swim Team is to provide every member an
opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his
or her level of ability, from novice to international
competitor.
All of
our coaches have access to the most comprehensive training and
certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United
States.
The
Aquastorm Swim Team, a nonprofit club, is run by its elected Board
of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at
each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities,
sponsorships and fundraisers.
We are
constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a
well-rounded competitive swim team. Thank you for joining us. We

March 1st, 2009: The BSC Aquatics and Wellness
Center opens.

March 17-19, 2010: Aquastorm hosts the biggest
winter state meet ever (535 athletes)

April 2010: 1st Grade School Swim League
·
August 2010: AQUASTORM hosts Senior Zone
Championships. Team Aquastorm 3rd overall!

Fall 2010: High School Girls and Boys are
practicing.

December 2010: Ian Ballantyne takes 10th at Junior
National Championships -
100 yard Breaststroke (56.83)

Winter 2010-2011: Aquastorm takes first at State (overall
and points/swimmer)

AQUASTORM set 21 state records at SC State meet.

Summer 2011: Aquastorm takes first at State
(overall)

AQUASTORM set 14 state/overall state records at LC State meet.

August 2011 AQUASTORM has 105 swimmers. We also
have 24 AAA swimmers,

Sectionals Swimmers and 1 Junior National swimmer.

October 2011: AQUASTORM has 136 families
membership.

April 2012: AQUASTORM won the SC State meet. They took 1st
in overall and points per swimmer.
27 AAA swimmers, 19 sectionals. AQUASTORM set 15 state records
&15 overall state records at the meet

August 2012 AQUASTORM won the State Long Course
Championships for overall score and percentage.
44 new records were set during the meet by Aquastorm
swimmers! Congratulations!

September 2012 Coach Loic Joseph resigns as Head
Coach of Aquastorm to pursue his lifelong
goal of being a NCAA college coach. Loic became the
Assistant Coach at Grand Canyon
University in Phoenix AZ. You will always be missed Loic.

September 2012, Aquastorm hires Jeff Steele as the
new Aquastorm Head Coach.
Jeff
had been the head coach of the West Fargo Flyers.
· Dani
Bergeson becomes the second Aquastorm swimmer to qualify for
the Short Course Jr. Nationals. Dani has qualified in the 100
backstroke (36th seed) and will swim in two other bonus events!
· December
2012 - Aquastorm forms a new diving club called Aquastorm
Diving. Kate LaRoche becomes the first Diving Head Coach.
· March 2013

2014 - Aquastorm takes 8 swimmers to Far Western
Championship in California.

2014 - Aquastorm hosts the ND State Long Course
Championships with 320
swimmers
participating and wins our 8th Consecutive
State Championship by Total Points and 7th Consecutive
State Championship by Percentage Points. Aquastorm sent 9 swimmers
to Long Course Sectionals.
- August
2014 - Vanessa Herrmann (14) and Erin Palmer (10) both
become Central Zone Champions in
the 100
Breaststroke. Both breaking the ND Overall State Record in their
age groups.
- December
2014- Dani Bergeson qualifies for her 3rd consecutive
Short Course Junior Nationals. While at Juniors she set 2 new
Aquastorm Team Records one in the 200IM with a time of 2:03.44 and
another in the 100 back with a time of 55.56.
- March
2015- Aquastorm has 19 swimmers qualify for Winter
Sectionals at the U of Iowa. Aquastorm wins our 9th consecutive
State Championship by total points and 8th Consecutive State
Championship by Percentage Points.
- July
2015- Aquastorm has 91 swimmers compete at the 2015 Long
Course State Championships. Aquastorm wins our 10th consecutive
state title.
- We have 5 swimmers
attending the 1st ever Futures Championships at the U of Purdue.
Dani Bergeson, Emma Hepper, Vannessa Herrmann, Veronica Herrmann,
& Loren Sether.
- Vanessa Herrmann
becomes the first female swimmer from Aquastorm to make a Long
Course Junior National qualifying time. 100 Breaststroke 1:13.22.
She also qualified in the 200 Breaststroke 2:41.21. In both the 100
& 200 Breaststroke she set the new overall ND State Record.
- Loren Sether makes is
Junior National qualifying times in the 100 Breastroke 1:06.92 and
the 200 Breastroke 2:24.88. Futures was a great meet for the
Aquastorm Swimmers.
- November
2015- Vanessa Herrmann & Carly Palmer both qualified
for Junior Nationals in the 100 Breaststroke. Junior Nationals will
be held in Austin, Texas.
- December
2015- Vanessa Herrmann made finals in both the 100 &
200 Breaststrokes at Short Course Juniors.
- March
2016- Aquastorm wins it's 11th consecutive State
Championship. Setting 41 State & Overall Records and qualifying
3 swimmers for Junior Nationals. Vanessa Herrmann, Carly Palmer,
& Briana Rittenbach.
- July
2016- Aquastorm wins it's 12th consecutive State
Championship.
Aquastorm also had 5 Swimmers
compete at the Futures Championship in Austin, TX. Vanessa
Herrmann, Veronica Herrmann, Emma Hepper, Carly Palmer, &
Briana Rittenbach.
- December
2016- Vanessa Herrmann, Carly Palmer, & Briana
Rittenbach competed at Junior Nationals in College Station, TX
March 2017- Aquastorm wins it's
13th consecutive State Championship. The team scored 8,214.83
points which is believed to be the most ever! AQST also sent
143 kids to state which is also believed to be one of the biggest
if not the biggest ever by a ND team!
July 2017-Vanessa Herrman tied for 1st place at Sectionals
in Minneapolis, MN in the 200 meter breaststroke with a time of
2:35.97. Joining her at the meet were Carly Palmer, Briana
Rittenbach, Emma Hepper, Eric Bergeson, and Malcolm Hunter.
All of our swimmers posted best times and did a great job!
-AQST surpassed over 300 families
in total membership!
AQST wins it's 14th consecutive
State Championshp!
March 2018
AQST takes 16 to Sectionals and
places in the top 10 as a team. Vanessa Herrmann won the 200
breaststroke. Our swimmers did an amazing job representing
our team!
AQST takes 125 to the state meet
and comes away with it's 15th consecutive championship!!! Way to go
Aquastorm!
May 2018- AQST
achieves Level 2 status in USA Swimming Club Recognition program!

has almost 20 members already! Jenny Unruh is serving as the diving

Vanessa Herrmann becomes the first AQST Swimmer to compete at the
Phillip 66 National Championships in Palo Alto, CA!

December 2019-
Lexi Duchsherer competed at Short Course Junior Nationals in
Federal Way, WA
Vanessa Herrmann becomes the first
Aquastorm Swimmer to qualify for Olympic Trials.
March 2020-
Sectionals and the ND State Meet were canceled due to Covid-19.
July 2020- The ND
Long Course State Meet Meet was canceled due to Covid-19.
August 2020-
Aquastorm held the Blue vs White Intra-Squad Meet (the first meet
since 2019 due to Covid-19) Vanessa Herrmann and Erin Palmer both
qualified for the US Open and Erin Palmer also qualified for Junior
Nationals.
