Jerry Adams

Coach Jerry began coaching SSSC in 1991. Before being named Head Coach, Jerry served as an age-group and senior coach. Jerry was the 2004 Virgin Islands Olympic Swim Coach at the Athens Olympics. Jerry began his coaching career at Knolls and Leatherstocking Swim Clubs. Jerry coached the Shenendehowa boys for two seasons - and also led the Shen girls team to six Section 2 championships and one NY State Championship in his seven years as Head Coach. Jerry serves on the Adirondack LSC Board. Jerry swam and graduated from Shenendehowa High School and Springfield College - and currently lives in Clifton Park.

Lauren Tullock

Coach Lauren has been with the Sharks since 1990 and coaches our Pre-competitive and Group 2 swimmers. Lauren graduated from Burnt Hills where she lettered for 5 years on the varsity swim team. She was captain her senior year. While attending Hartwick College, she was a member of the swim team for 1 year and the basketball team for 3 years. Lauren graduated in 1989 with a BA in Biology and Spanish. She and her husband Tim have two children, Madeleine and Calvin (Shark Swimmers) and reside in Schenectady.

Flip Williams

Coach Flip joined the staff in 2011 - coming from coaching with the Glens Falls Gators for 6 years. Flip coaches the older groups at Skidmore. Flip was an accomplished swimmer - graduating from The United States Military Academy at West Point, where he left his name on the record board. Flip lives in Lake George with his wife Laurie and 4 children (3 Sharks). 

Matt Wahl

Coach Matt has been coaching with the sharks since 2014, primarily with G3 and Bronze at the South site. He graduated from Webster High School in 2009 and Union College in 2013 where he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Matt was a 4 year varsity swimmer for the Dutchmen, and team captain his senior year. In the college off-season, he trained with the sharks. He currently works at GE Renewables in Schenectady. Matt also is an avid CrossFit athlete and has his CF-L1 certification.

Karann Durr

Coach Karann started coaching in 2014 for primarily Pre-competitive and Group 1. Had coaching experience following college in summer league teams and assistant coach for high school.
Competed in USA swimming throughout high school and went on to swim at SUNY Oswego all four years of college where she held team records in 200/400 IMs, 200 ,500,1000 and 1650 freestyles. SUNYAC record holder in the 500,1000 & 1650. SUNYAC Champion in the 200,500 &1650 and SUNYAC MVP senior year; NCAA All American in the 500&1650 freestyle; 2004 inductee into SUNY Oswego Athletic Hall of Fame. 
BS Biology from SUNY Oswego and BS Dietetics/Nutrition from Russell Sage and Syracuse University.
Works for Saratoga Hospital as a Registered Dietitian and l ives in Gansevoort with her husband and 3 boys.

Steve Johnson

Coach Steve is a retired elementary school principal from Williamstown, MA and Hoosick Falls, NY.  He has a BS and MS in Education as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from the State University of New York.  He and his wife Barbara reside in Saratoga Springs.  They have two adult daughters and four grandchildren (3 Sharks).  Steve works with Group Two swimmers at the Skidmore Site.  He swam competitively in high school and college and was inducted into the SUNY College at Oneonta Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1967 New York State Championship Swimming Team.  He has coached swimming with the Bennington Marauders, high school basketball and track at Camden Central School, and swims with USA Masters Swimming.  Steve is also an official for USA Swimming and New York State High School Swimming.

Nicole Damiano

Coach Nicki returns to the Sharks and Skidmore College after serving as the head swimming coach and aquatics director at SUNY Cobleskill for the past four years. While at Cobleskill, she guided both programs to top-two finishes at NEAC championships the past two years and was twice voted the NEAC coach of the year. Her teams also set 36 program records.
 
Prior to Cobbleskill, Damiano served as the associate swimming coach for Skidmore from 2009-2011. She also has an extensive club coaching background, specifically with the Schenectady-Saratoga Sharks, the United Aquatic Club (Johnson City, NY) and Cortland YMCA (Cortland, NY). 
 
Damiano received her bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland, swimming for the Red Dragons for four years and serving as captain her senior year. She established four college records, was part of an NCAA B-qualifying 200 Medley Relay and was the SUNYAC champion in the 100 Butterfly her senior year. Damiano earned her master's degree in Geography from Binghamton University.

Emma Terwilliger

Coach Emma  has been coaching for the past 6 six years and with the Sharks for the past year, working primarily with Pre-Competitive and Group 1 at the South site. Emma graduated from Niskayuna High School in 2012 and The University of Richmond with a BA in Political Science in 2016. Emma was a 4 year varsity swimmer throughout high school, setting school, sectional and state records her senior year as team captain. Emma continued her passion for swimming in college where she was a Division 1 varsity swimmer all four years. Emma contributed points to each of the teams 4 Atlantic 10 Championship wins, landing on the podium 3 times during her college career. She currently works at The New York State Network for Youth Success in Troy. 

Cheryl Marron

Coach Cheryl started coaching at our Skidmore site in the Fall of 2010. Cheryl's 20-plus-year coaching career includes stints as Head Coach at Amherst (NY) High School, Amherst Swim Club and MOON (Pittsburgh). Cheryl holds degrees from Buffalo and Canisius College. Cheryl lives in Saratoga with her husband Thomas and her 4 children.

John Ferrie

Coach John has worked with our North Site Pre-competitive and Group 1 swimmers since 2015.  Lives in Middle Grove, NY.  Happily married to Kimberly and parent of 3 children (Drew, Grace and Jillian). Has taught 8th Grade Earth Science for the past 20 years at Gloversville Middle School. Graduated from Hartwick College in 1993 with a BA in Chemistry minor in Biology and a MSED in Reading from St. Bonaventure University in 1995. While at Hartwick College, was a member of the swim team as well as the water polo team. Was captain of the swim team, and part of a team that finished a perfect season 12-0, as well as winning the Upper New York State Championship. For two seasons, 1994&1995, was the Assistant Men's Swimming and Diving coach at St. Bonaventure University (NCAA DI Atlantic 10 conference).  In 1996-1997 coached the men's & women's swim team at Skidmore College - qualifying a swimmer for NCAA Div III Nationals. During the summers between 1993-2005, worked for the National Park Service in Sandy Hook, NJ. Was beach Lieutenant from 2004-2005. In 2002 was National Lifeguard Champion in the American Iron Man in San Diego, CA and in 2003 was National Lifeguard Champion in Surf Rescue in Cape May, NJ. From 2001-2008 coached the Gloversville High School boys varsity swim team. Team won 4 Foot Hills titles.

Alicia M Faucett

Coach Alicia started coaching with the Sharks in 2000, after several seasons coaching for the Woodlin Club in the Suburban League. She coached through the 2008 season, and “retired” to focus on her teaching career.  She rejoined the staff in the fall of 2017 and works, primarily, with pre-competitve and group 1 swimmers.

Alicia is a former Shark swimmer and participated in the Suburban League, as well as. on the BH-BL varsity swimming and crew teams. She has spent 2 decades working in aquatics, teaching toddler – adult swim lessons and aquatic fitness in addition to her time coaching.

Alicia earned a BS in education from SUNY Potsdam, an MS in education through the College of St. Rose, and spent 14 years teaching visual arts in the Schenectady City School District.  She also holds a health coaching certification.  Alicia lives in Rotterdam, NY with her family.

Timothy F Sinnenberg

Coach Tim started as the Head Age-Group Coach in 1989 and continued in this position for his first 10 years of coaching.  He was a swimming and diving coach for the Woodlin Club and Glen Hills Club for four years at each pool.  He is the principal at Charlton Heights Elementary School in the BH-BL CSD, and is a graduate of BH-BL High School where he was a swimmer and diver for five years.  He has a BA degree in English/Communications from LeMoyne College, a Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education, and a school administration certificate from The College of Saint Rose.  Tim is on the executive board of the Burnt Hills Track Club and BH-BL Theatre for Children.  He and his wife, Ellen, have two children, Nick and Matthew.  Nick swims for the Sharks while Matthew runs for BH-BL, and they reside in Burnt Hills.

Blake Smith

Coach Blake coached first with Canajoharie and then for Amsterdam before following his children to the Sharks. Blake has been teaching social studies at Canajoharie High School for 25 years and is the varsity boys soccer coach. Blake played varsity soccer for SUNY Cortland and Ithaca High School. He also played lacrosse. He is married to Kim Smith and has 3 children Riley, Quinn and Bailey.
