We are pleased and excited to announce Moon Aqua Club’s new head coach, Jeff Berghoff. Coach Jeff comes to us with over 20 years of coaching experience that spreads between, USA Swimming/AMS Aqua Club, High school/Varsity, and Collegiate level swim programs. Throughout Jeff’s career, Jeff has achieved unprecidented levels of achievement over the years.
As an Assistant Head Coach for Women’s Swimming at the University of Pittsburgh, Jeff had swimmers represented in the past 4 NCAA Championships, participated in 6 of the last 10 NCAA Championships , had 1 NCAA Honorable Mention All-American , and had 6 athletes placed in the prestigious Varsity Walk. During this time, Jeff was also the Head Coach for Team Pittsburgh Aquatics, an AMS aqua club in our LSC. Jeff had 8 swimmers qualify in the National Age Group Top-16, had 26 Eastern Zones All-Star Competitors, and coached multiple PIAA State Championship qualifiers and champions. While coaching at Oakland Catholic High school, Jeff produced 2 individual State Champions, 16 NISCA High School All-Americans, 1999 PIAA Class AA State Championship Team.
Jeff has also coached at the 2004, 2008, 2012 Olympic Trials, coached at summer Senior Nationals since 2002 , coached at Junior Nationals and Sectionals, 4x Summer Super sectional Team Champions .Another one of Jeff’s strengths is his talents with operating high level swim meets. Jeff has operated as the Meet Director for all USA Swimming meets that ran at the University of Pitt, including the annual Christmas Meet – one of the largest Age Group meets in the country – and the 2011 USA Swimming Summer Speedo Champions Meet Head Coach 1995-1999.
Jeff earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1994. He lives in Monroeville, Pa. with his wife, Mykie and three sons: Ryan, Justin and Jacob.

Marian R Bonham
Assistant Head Coach
Assistant Head Coach, Marian Bonham, is a Moon Area High School Alumni and a previous Moon Aqua Club Swimmer! She graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Education. Marian has been an assistant coach for Moon Aqua Club since 2011 and has coached all age group and abilitys from developmental to elite level swimmers throughout the years. She was also the assistant swim coach for the 2015-2016 Moon Area Varsity Swim Team, and coached numerous swimmers to achieve WPIAL Championship qualification times. Marian also operated as the head coach for Montour Heights Country Club’s swim program and an assistant coach for the Sewickley YMCA swim team.
Throughout Marian’s high school and college career, she taught swim lessons at Moon Area High School, Carlynton Junior/ Senior High School, Montour Heights Country Club, and Sewickley Valley YMCA.
Marian's role as Assistant Head Coach also includes the oversight and development of Moon Aqua Club's Learn to Swim program where she will be continuing to follow her passion to teach and develop our youth the life lesson of how to swim.
Sierra R Neft
Assistant Age Group Coach
Coach Sierra is a graduate of Moon High School's class of 2014. She currently is a student at Robert Morris University. Sierra is a lifeguard at Colony West Apartments in the summer. She joined the Moon Aqua Club at the age of eight and has been swimming ever since.
Sierra lettered in swimming, qualified for the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC), and the WPIAL championships all four years of her high school swimming career. Her junior year she qualified for the PIAA State meet in multiple relays. She also qualified for States her senior year in her individual event, the 200 IM and made it to finals. Sierra was also a competitor at Sectionals in her qualifying event of the 200 Breaststroke. Having knowledge about swimming and being a former swimmer herself, Sierra is excited to be a coach for the Moon Aqua Club.
Yaroslav A Noskov
Assistant Age Group Coach
Coach Yaroslav is a graduate from Moon High School's class of 2017. Yaroslav has been swimming since he was 7 years old, and loves the sport! In addition to coaching at Moon Aqua Club, He is a life guard and lessons instructor at Montour Country Club as well . Yaroslav is attending Robert Morris University to study Manufacturing Engineering.Yaroslav was an all around athlete during high school. He participated in swimming and track (Pole Vault) and lettered all four years in both sports. He qualified for MACs in both track and swimming all four years and qualified for WPIALs in swimming all four years and two years for track. His favorite events for swimming were 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle and Butterfly. He was a sectionals qualifier in the 100 butterfly event. Coach Yaroslav has a passion for Swimming s being a fellow swimmer for years, while showing a great knowledge of the fundimantals of the sport. Yaroslav is exhilarated to begin coaching our bronze level group for Moon Aqua Club.
Learn to Swim Director
Ann lives in Moon Township with her husband and two children. Ann is a graduate of Moon Area High School and Bucknell University. She holds a degree in Chemistry and currently works for SAP Labs LLC. Ann has worked for SAP for 12 years and is a Director within the Energy & Natural Resources Industries and EHS & Sustainability Products of SAP. Prior to her work at SAP, she was employed by Bayer Corporation where she worked as a regulatory professional in the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs Department. She has 20 years experience in Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs and EHS software, including Safety Data Sheet authoring, Dangerous Goods classification, business process analysis and SAP EHS implementations.
Ann was involved in athletics starting from a young age (playing on PA West Olympic Development soccer team) through her college years where she played Division I soccer at Bucknell University. Both of Ann’s children (ages 10 and 8) swim for Moon Aqua Club and Ann wants to continue to work with the Aqua Club to continue to grow membership through generating interest through swim lesson participants.
