Sara Dama Volponi
Sara Dama Volponi is a certified Swim Babies Instructor with additional certifications in CPR and First Aid. Sara grew up in Italy where she developed a love for the sea and became an accomplished swimmer and Life Guard. In 2008 Sara moved to Nassau with her husband where her love for the sea continued to develop. After becoming a mother, Sara was concerned for her daughter safety around water, especially since she was living near a canal. After investigating programs that teach survival swimming, she came upon Swim Babies Swim based in Florida. Swim Babies Swim is the only Infant/Toddler Survival Swimming program in Nassau with a certified instructor. In 2008, Sara was certified by the Florida Department of Health after completing the Swim Babies Swim course under the guidance of Tracy Smith, the Program Founder and Developer of the program. In April 2017, Sara completed her annual re-certification with Swim Babies Swim. Sara shares her enthusiasm, energy and love of swimming with all the children she teaches. She believes no child should ever fear the water.
