SFA Aquatykes Head Coach
Coach Bart is in his 3rd season coaching the SFA stroke clinic. He has coached competitive swimming for over 35 years and have worked with talented athletes from 5 to 21 years of age. His goal is to have swimmers understand why good swimming technique is so important.
Our goals with the SFA clinics are for the swimmers to learn and develop their technique, understanding, and self-confidence of the competitive swimming strokes. We strive to create an atmosphere where the swimmers continuously improve and learn through structured practice with consistent feedback so they can become the best athletes possible.
Lucas has coached for more than 10 years in both Ontario and
British Columbia. Lucas is an SFU Swimming alumni and, combined
with his experience with the Barrie Trojan swim team, competed for
nearly 12 years. As an instructor in both swimming and rock
climbing, Lucas brings a diverse set of teaching skills to the pool
for the athletes. Lucas is an Ontario Provincial silver medalist in
the 200 breaststroke.
Mackenzie has been coaching for over 6 years and competed for many more. He has extensive swim experience at the highest levels. Mackenzie is as an 11-time NCAA DII All-American athlete, Canadian Age-group record holder, and Canadian Olympic Trials finalist. Mackenzie is also currently a part of the Men’s Swimming and Diving Team at Simon Fraser University, and has coached in the BCSSA for the past two years.
Duncan has been coaching competitive swimming in both Ontario and British Columbia for over 10 years. Duncan swam for 12 years and is now an SFU swimming and school alumni. Duncan also coaches sport climbing. As an instructor in both climbing and swimming, he brings a fine eye to detail for all the athletes in the pool. He is a Senior National swimming qualifier.
Adrian has been coaching for more than 8 years, He is a 10-time NCAA DII All-American athlete and a Canadian Trials finalist. He loves to work with kids and has a passion for teaching. Currently Adrian is on the Men’s Swimming and Diving Team at Simon Fraser University. He uses his current experience and past knowledge to give a unique style of teaching to the athletes he works with.
