Kevin Potter is a USA Swimming certified coach and has been coaching children since 2002. Kevin graduated from Newport Harbor in 2001 and graduated from California State University of Fullerton with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. His competitive club coaching experience includes 7 years of coaching at Irvine Novaquatics where he worked at the swim school for 3 years and 4 years as an age group coach with the 8 and under program and ran the Varsity training group for the high school age kids. After NOVA, Kevin coached at Aquazot where he learned a lot from two of the best Senior coaches in Southern California Swimming, Brian Pajer and Todd Hickman. Kevin was the Head Age Group coach, where he coached swimmers to be Junior Olympic Champions, SCS record holders and breaking team records. Kevin was selected to coach SCS 11-12 Boys at the Pacific Coast All-Star meet in 2015. His high school swim coaching experience includes 5 years as Head Coach at Woodbridge High School and 4 years at University High School(3 as assistant and 1 as head coach) where he helped lead them to 4 consecuitive Paciific Coast League Championships and Back to Back CIF Division 1 Championships. For the past 2 years, Kevin now assists the Newport Harbor Sailors Boys Swim team.

Coach Riley comes to Newport Beach Swimming with a ton of
experience and success. Diggy graduated from Newport Harbor High in
1981 where he helped the Sailors to Back to Back CIF Water Polo
Championships. He was an All American in both water polo and
swimming while at Newport.
After graduating from Newport Harbor, Coach Riley was a starter on
the 1982 NCAA Champion UC Irvine Water Polo Team, a team that went
30-0. In his junior and senior years in college, Diggy was a
starter for USC. He was a 2-Time All American in College at both UC
Irvine and USC. In addition, Diggy was a member of the USA Junior
and Senior National Teams from 1973-1984.
At the helm of the Edison High School Aquatics Program from
2002-2015, Coach Riley produced a multitude of Division 1 swimmers
and water polo players and won a CIF Division 1 Swim Championship
in 2009. He has been named OC Registers Swim Coach of the Year
twice while coaching the Chargers.
Lexie Kelly is a USA Swimming Coach for Newport Beach Aquatics programs. She has coached all levels including Age Group, Junior Lifeguard prep, and Masters. She been an Assistant Coach for Newport Harbor High School Boys for 1 season and Girls team for the past 2 seasons.
As former NCAA swimmer, she profoundly understands the DNA of the aquatic world. After her pool swimming career, she transferred her passion and talents to open water swimming and competed>

Stephanie May is a USA certified swimming coach for the Newport Beach swimming programs. Stephanie swam and graduated from Edison high school in 2012, and then went on to study health science at California State University of Long Beach. She has been coaching all levels of competitive swimming for 7 years now and competitively swam herself for 17 years. Her experience includes coaching for Surf City Aquatics (also known as Pacific Sands Penguins) located in Huntington Beach where she coached all levels from water safety beginners, up to high school age level. She also coached for Golden West swim club another competitive swim team in Huntington Beach where she coached all levels of swimmers as well, and gained a lot of knowledge and insight from some of the best senior coaches in Southern California. She has been coaching with us at Newport Beach swimming for 2 years now where she has worked with all age group levels, as well as the Junior lifeguard prep program.
