The 2017-2018 season will be Steve's second season as head coach
of the Inconnu Swim Club.
Steve will be coaching the National group along with the Junior A
group again this year. He will also be taking on the Swim4Fit and
Swim4Life program in the second half of the year. He is currently a
certified level 2 coach and will be pursuing his level 3 very
Growing up Steve swam competitively for 9 years. First beginning
with the Richmond Aquanauts and then later on the Richmond Racers.
He swam at the National level and was a consolation finalist at
Senior Nationals in the 200 Fly and 400 IM.
Steve left the sport for 22 years and became a carpenter in the
meantime. His passion for the sport was quickly reignited with
having his two sons involved competitively in the sport. He has
since hung up his tool belt to spend all of his time helping the
young swimmers of Fort St John reach their potential.
Intermediate Group Coach
I am very excited to coach with the Inconnu family
again this year - this is my second year with the
Club. I'm originally from the Lower Mainland, where
I swam with both a summer and winter club in Richmond. I got
into coaching with my summer club as a teenager, because all my
friends were doing it and it seemed like a great way to spend a
summer. It became a huge passion of mine, and I've been coaching
for the past 8 years mostly in the summer system, but also a bit of
coaching in winter club and with Special Olympics. I'm level 1
trained and have coached young swimmers starting out in the sport
to high school swimmers looking to make provincials. I'm so happy
for the opportunity to get back to the pool and work with swimmers
- I look forward to meeting everyone and cheering our team on! See
you on deck.
Coach - Junior B
My names Isaiah Morgan. This will be my second season coaching
for the Inconnu swim club. I have also coached for the FSJ
Stingrays for the past 3 seasons. I recently graduated from
high-school and also finished up my 10th year of swimming for the
club. I have developed a huge passion for swimming over the years!
I am very excited for this year and I look forward to seeing
everyone at the pool!
Coach - Novice
I am Jaime Jodoin. This is my first year coaching with Inconnu
Swim Club. I was a swim mentor last year and a Junior assistant
coach for the Fort St John Stingrays for 2 seasons. I have been
swimming for 10 years and fell in love with it at a young age. I am
in grade 11 and attend North Peace Secondary School. I am very
excited to start this year and hope to teach the kids the same love
for swimming that I have.
