Coaching Staff

Ben Geary

Head Coach

This year is Ben's 8th year with the Seahorses and second as Head Coach. He has coached summer swim teams Port Moody Aquarians and Haney Neptunes while working with the Seahorses. Ben's swimming experience goes back to 4 years old, where he started in summer swimming with the Coquitlam Sharks. He moved to year-round swimming in his grade 8 year with Simon Fraser Aquatics, then after three years joined the Seahorses for one final year in the pool.

He is extremely excited to lead the team this year and is ready to encourage healthy competition from top to bottom, in every group. His coaching philosophy is centered around connecting and motivating each swimmer to push themselves further so they can realize their true potential. In order to get there, hard work has to be put in. He plans on taking his Swimming 301 coaching course in the near future, which will allow him to attend National level swim meets with our future qualifiers.

Chloe Good

Junior Coach

Chloe joined the Seahorses coaching staff in 2015, after swimming competitively for the club for 7 years. She has also been volunteering with the club for a number of years while swimming. She has taught lessons for the last 3 years as a lifeguard and Red Cross Water Safety instructor for the city of Port Coquitlam. Chloe is excited for the new season and to work with many returning and new swimmers!
