Duffy Earle

Duffy has been head coach of the Marlins for 13 years and has been co-head coach of the Memorial Sea-Hawks for the past seven years. Duffy grew up swimming in Newfoundland on the St. John's Legends. She carried forward her dedication for swimming to become a National level rower! Through her years of coaching she has brought swimmers all the way to U-Sports Championships, a National competition. She is not only the head coach of the Marlins but has also been the NL Provincial Team head coach since 2014! She has been a coach with the Canada Games team since 2009. You will see Duffy jump from group to group on pool deck with her main focus on the Orange Group and managing the Marlins staff.  

Chris Roberts

Chris has been coaching with the Marlins for nine years and has also been a co-head coach of the Memorial Sea-Hawks for seven years. Prior to joining the Marlins Chris has coached with teams across Canada. He was the head coach of the Truro Swim Team in Nova Scotia before moving to Newfoundland to coach on the Mount Pearl Marlins. Chris grew up swimming in Nova Scotia at a National level and has brought this dedication of the sport to the swimmers in the Marlins Performance group. He has coached swimmers to reach the highest level of of competition in Canada, winning national medals, and has even brought swimmers to the international stage of Olympic Trials. 

Laura Taylor

This will be Laura's fourth year coaching with the Marlins, but before the Marlins she coached with the St. John's Legends for many years prior.  Laura also swam for the St. John's Legends during grade school and swam with the Memorial University Sea-Hawks for some time during her years in univeristy. The Marlins are happy to have Laura as a member of our coaching staff!

Keelin Tucker

Keelin is a certified fire fighter who currently fights forrest fires in Alberta and Newfoundland. She grew up swimming in Ottawa specializing in 200 fly where she made the top 20 in Ontario! She moved to Newfoundland to swim with the Memorial SeaHawks in 2018 where she is completing a Bachelor of Science with Major in Psychology. Keelin is an important member of the SeaHawks known for her tough training style and ability to bring the team together.  This will be Keelin's third year coaching with the Marlins. She is a creative and fun coach who excells and making our sport fun and teaching kids to be competitive!  Keelin is an NCCP Level 1 trainned coach taking charge of our White group!

Lesley-Marie Lahey

Lesley Marie grew up swimming on the Marlins and continued swimming in university with the Memorial Sea-Hawks, and competed at the Atlantic University Sport Swimming Championships. Lesley Marie still holds the Memorial University Record in the 400 and 800m Freestyle!

Lesley Marie took a break from coaching while in Nursing School. She is currently completing her Masters and we are very excited to have her return to coaching Orange! Lesley Marie is a NCCP level 2 trained coach. 

Joseph Dwyer

Joseph has been coaching with the Marlins for two years. During grade school he swam for CBS and now swims for the Memorial University Sea-Hawks. He is in his second year of a Bachelor of Science at Memorial University. Joseph is not only a trained Level 1 coach but has also competed in the 2017 Canada Summer Games! Joseph is a very creative and dedicated coach. This season he is coaching our Precompetitive groups as well as our new Mini Marlins.

Laura Pretty

Laura grew up swimming on the Marlins and transitioned to a coach 3 years ago. She has coached both our precompetitive Silver and Bronze groups and is now coaching our precompetitive Gold group. She is currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Science at Memorial University.   

Ashlen Mersereau

Ashlen grew up swimming in New Brunswick and has moved to Newfoudland to swim varsity on the Memorial University Sea-Hawks. She is in her third year of a Bachelor of Science Biology Major at Memorial University. She was a coach with her swim team in New Brunswick and is now bringing her years of swimming knoweledge and dedication to the competitive Gold group this season. This is her first year coaching with the Mount Pearl Marlins and we are excited to have her join our coaching staff!
