Coach Michelle grew up just like you, swimming for her local club (in Moncton, NB). She fell in love with coaching at 15 years old, so she's been coaching for over half her life. Her favourite event is the 200 IM and loves helping swimmers attain their goals through a focus on technique.

This is my 2nd year coaching for the Seals; I previous coached for the Winnipeg Wave Swim Club and was with them for 20 years.  Swimming has been a passion of mine since I was 6 years old and want to bring the same experience I had swimming to the swimmers I coach now.

Hi, my name is Emma and this is my tenth season as the Junior 1 Coach and my twenty sixth season as a member of the St. James Seals. I was the recipient of Swim Manitoba’s Grassroots Coach of the Year for the 2009/2010 Season. When I’m not at the pool, I can be found at my job as a social worker, doing CrossFit, or planning my upcoming wedding.

Kaithleen Sarino

Coach

Kaithleen has been coaching swimming for almost 10 years with the majority of her coaching career working with competitive swimmers between the ages of 9-15 years old. Kaithleen began as a competitive swimmer at the age of 10 with the Winnipeg Wave and continued to swim for 8 years. She started coaching and fell in love with finding new ways to teach kids how to improve their strokes and become faster swimmers. This will be Kaithleen’s first year coaching Pups 3 and 4 with SJS and she could not be more excited to get back into coaching.

Josh Koldon

With a passion for competition, Josh is pumped to be back at the pool this season. He’s been coaching with the club since 2017, and is a familiar face on the deck. Josh swam with the club for just over a decade, and travelled all over North America for various meets and training camps. Josh is currently in the process of completing his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at the University of Winnipeg. If he’s not on deck or in the gym, you can find him cleating up alongside fellow Pups Coach, Cam Russell, with the University of Winnipeg Ultimate Club. Josh is looking forward to continuing his education and applying what he has learned in the classroom at the pool and in the gym this season by taking over coaching the clubs’ Dryland training.

Hey y'all! My name's Cam, and I'm just starting my 3rd year of coaching for the Seals. My co-worker, Josh, and I used to swim together in the groups we now coach, pups 1 & 2.
