Coach Penny Bosma has been the head coach of the St. Thomas
Jumbo Jets since 1997. Prior to that Penny coached and
assisted as a coach for the St. Catharines Swim Club and Brock
University as well as the Huron Hurricanes. Penny has a degree in
Psychology and Education from Brock University. She had swimmers go
to regionals, provincials, nationals and in 2016 to the Paralympics
in Rio de Janeiro.
As a competitive swimmer herself, Aurora shares the passion of
swimming with all the athletes she coaches. In
her swimming career she has proudly been a part
of Mexico's National Swim team and Waterloo national team, UANL
University Swim Team and some Master Teams within Canada and
Aurora studied Architecture at UANL University in Mexico and
has a Diploma as an Interior Designer in Canada.
She started as a swimmer instructor in 2006 teaching many to swim,
then Aurora had the opportunity to be an assistant coach
for the CAM Swim Club in Mexico. In 2010 she volunteered as
an assistant coach for the Mighty Tritons Aquatic Club in
Milton and also as a swim instructor at the YMCA in St.
We are happy to have Aurora as assistant coach for the Jumbo
Jets since 2017.
Sine was a member of the Jumbo Jets both as a swimmer and then a
coach from 2004-2013 before going to Windsor for 4 years completing
her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and disability studies. Since
2018 she is back with the team and looking forward to coaching
the junior swimmers.
Anna joined the coaching staff of the Jumbo Jets in 2017.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and a
Bachelor of Education. She has been teaching for 20
years. She is thrilled to be a part of the mighty Jumbo
