Assistant Coach Jimmy
Rogers
[email protected]
Jimmy began swimming in Washington
State where he placed in the top-3 at the state championships and
swam at the Junior Olympic level. He was awarded a Division-I
scholarship to swim at Cal State University Northridge where he
swam for two years until the program was cut. In that short time,
he managed to place in the top-10 all time in several events. This
sparked Jimmy to get into coaching which renewed his passion for
the sport. He has been coaching ever since: starting his own U.S.
Masters team, working with PEAK Performance Swim camps across the
country, teaching private lessons, and coaching both club and high
school swimming in the area. After a brief stint as a wildlife
biologist, Jimmy has gone back to CSUN to obtain his Master’s
degree in Kinesiology (M.S.) studying the biomechanics of swimming.
This is Jimmy’s first season with the Polar Bears.
