Erik D. Lundeen
Age Group Coach
Coach Erik Lundeen.
Erik is a collegiate swimmer with years of experience coaching children of all ages. His swimming career started at the age of seven when he joined a competitive swim team.
Since then, he has acquired vast knowledge of the swimming technique. Erik swam for Dougherty Valley high school and competed on the varsity Water Polo team for four seasons.
He taught swim lessons for the City of San Ramon for five years and was a part time coach for Ignite Triathlon team. He is certified by the American Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor and a Lifeguard.
Courtney P. Schram
Age Group Coach
Courtney has been swimming for as long as she can remember. She started swim lessons around age seven then moved on to competitive swimming for four years. She swam and was a water polo goalie for MVHS in her freshmen year. She has also worked at both of San Ramon's olympic pools for six year, five of those years as a lifeguard. She was also a swim instructor for the last six years. Between her knowledge of water safety and stroke development Courtney makes practice challenging, meaningful, and fun.
Florian Pascal Maenner
Age Group Coach
Florian was enrolled in swim lessons from a young age, and ever since has loved to be in and around water. Florian has been working with the City of San Ramon as a lifeguard, and has been teaching swim lessons which he has come to love and has gained valuable experience in teaching people to swim. Florian is a certified in Lifeguarding skills/First Aid/Cpr/AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen and Water Safety Instructor all under the American Red Cross.

Athena started off her swimming career on a competitive year round team for 7 years. She continued swimming for her high school team for 2 years. She has taught multiple swim lessons for a variety of skill levels and ages. She enjoys coaching and ensures that her swimmers enjoy working hard at practice. She is passionate about swimming and has gained valuable experience throughout her years as a swimmer and as a coach. She is always motivated to inspire others to swim. Her experience allows her to encourage her swimmers to overcome their obstacles in swimming and in life. Athena is certified in Lifeguard Skills/ First Aid/ CPR/ AED all under the American Red Cross.
Apoorva has been swimming for almost 14 years now and has a background in competitive swimming. He has good communication skills and loves interacting with swimmers of all ages. He believes that every aspiring swimmer can achieve high levels of success and strives to bring out the best in each individual. With a bakground in competitive swimming, Apoorva brings a tough regime to every practice, but never skimps on the fun as practice should always be enjoyable and productive.

Athena has been a competitive swimmer for over twelve years, and four years on the Varsity swim team for her High School. Her love and passion for the swimming world inspires her to continue coaching and educating the future champions in swimming and in life.
Karina L. Zalatar
Age Group Coach
Karina has been swimming for the past 14 years competitively in the Bay Area.
Her love of being in the water started very early on in her life and completed when she played Varsity water polo for three years. As a team captain for water polo and swimming her senior year showed her great leadership skills as a coach and as an individual. Working with children inspires her to help build great swimmers and great people for their future.
Karina will be majoring in kinesiology to further her passion in sports & medicine.
Elise C. Riley
Age Group Coach
Elise has swum competitively for the past 14 years. She started
as a summer rec swimmer and moved to year-round at a young age. The
pool is like a second home to Elise. Elise has been with the city
of San Ramon as a lifeguard and swim instructor for the last 4
years, working with all levels of swimmers from babies to
advanced. Elise is a certified in Lifeguarding skills/First
Aid/Cpr/AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen and Lifeguard
Instructor all under the American Red Cross.
Courtney Mariko Lau
Courtney has swum competitively for the past 11
years. She has experience teaching children both in and out of the
water and enjoys helping them improve. Courtney has also worked as
a lifeguard for the City of San Ramon for the past 2 years.
Alexandra Laralen Zerbe
Lexi has loved to be in the water ever since her first swim lessons
as a child. Her past experience in lifeguard training and teaching
swim lessons as well as her passion for teaching strokes and water
safety allows her to be a motivating teacher in the water. She
believes that people of all ages have the ability to learn how to
swim - it’s just about finding what works for each
individual. She has gained valuable experience in teaching lessons
and looks forward to watching her students grow.
Aaron S Wakashige
Aaron started swimming competitively at age 10 and continued for
seven years. He swam for California High School's varsity team for
three years, and his undying interest in the sport has kept him
coming back to the pool even after his competitive life ended. He
loves working and seeing the success of young athletes and is
excited to watch the next generation of swimmers to grow and take
their skills to the next level.
Piper Hensley Stickler
Piper has been swimming since she was four years old.
She started out as a summer rec swimmer and made the transition to
year-round swimming two years ago. She is looking forward to
sharing her love of the sport with children of all abilities.
She hopes the children she coaches will develop a love for swimming
the way she did.
Michelle Minh-Thu Pham
Michelle has been
swimming for as long as she can remember, but she began
competitively swimming when she was nine years old. Since then, she
has always been at the pool, whether it be swimming, playing water
polo, teaching swim lessons, or coaching. She loves to spend her
summers with kids and has prior experience working as a swim
instructor. Her favorite stroke is butterfly, but she enjoys
working with children of all ages and abilities.
Witney Szeto Lam
Witney has been swimming competitively since she was 6 and recently
started playing water polo competitively for her HS and
individually. When she was 10 she became #1 in the 50 fly in all of
California and #3 in the country. Also #3 in the 100 fly in all of
California. Even through these accomplishments, Including other
ones for free and back, she’s had gone through challenges
with swim. But recently she discovers that her love for swimming
has not been forgotten or changed, it has just grown. So from
this she wants to show the passion and enjoyment swimming brings
her and do her best to leave that same feeling in the kids.

Sean has been swimming competitively for over fifteen years.
He has experience in both Summer league swimmer and year round

the mens varsity team for three of his four years. He loves to see

been swimming competitively for 10 years alongside high school
varsity swim for 4 years, she plans on continuing her swimming
career in college. Olivia has been teaching swim lessons for 2
years for kids of all ages during which she was also a lifeguard.
Olivia is very passionate about seeing her students excel not only
in performance but in valued life skills.
Brian Jerzy Buckley
Brian has been swimming competitively for over 12 years now in both
San Ramon and Santa Cruz. He began swimming for a local summer rec
swim team, continued swimming through high school for the Cal High
team, and currently swims in college for the UC Santa Cruz swim
team. Additionally Brian has coached for the San Ramon Aquacats for
the past three years (this year will be his fourth) as a Junior and
Assistant coach. Through coaching for the Aquacats he has learned a
great amount about how to teach children and teenagers of all ages
and abilities how to become comfortable in the water and how to
transition into swimming competitively at all levels. His love for
chasing his own goals and helping others reach theirs is a major
part of why he loves swimming and coaching swimmers.
Casey Y Wakashige
Casey was enrolled in a swim school at a young age, and ever
since then, she’s had a love for the water. Casey has been on
a competitive year-round team for 10 years. She has a great passion
for swimming and has obtained a lot of knowledge through her years
as a swimmer. She loves working with kids of all ages. She believes
that everybody has the potential to become a great swimmer.
Kevin E Buckley
Kevin has been swimming competitively for the past 11 years. With
all these years of swimming experience, he has become a junior
coach for his swim team. Through coaching children of all ages he
has learned valuable instructing skills in both group, and private
lesson settings. Also, as a Junior Lifeguard for the City of
Pleasanton, he gained experience working with swim lessons ranging
in age and skill level from preschool to beginner. Seeing and being
a part of every swimmers improvement is what always brings him back
to pool every summer.
Lindsay M Ly
Lindsay has been competitively swimming on a year-round team for 9
years. Her passion for swimming and improving has not died since
the day she got in the pool. She is experienced in working with
kids through multiple mentoring programs and is very excited to be
working with these future swimmers. With her determination and

Jason began his experience with swimming at the age of 6. He

Kayla has been swimming for as long as she remembers. Her love for

Martina is a competitive swimmer for a year-round club and for her
high school. She is very passionate about swimming and is excited
to work with young swimmers and help them build a love for swimming
as well. She has worked as a swim coach for special needs athletes

Saige E Aronson
With 10 years of competitive swimming, Saige is very grateful that
it has given her the foundation and love for the water. She has
certifications in Stress & Rescue plus in multiple advanced
specialities in scuba diving passing rigorous training to be able
to help people of all ages be comfortable in the water.
Currently as a year-round club swimmer, she is always looking to
improve on technique and speed while utilizing the disciplines from
the sport to build character and support others around her to make
the practices an educational, safe and fun space.

has been swimming competitively since the age of 6, and lives for

10 years now, from a rec team to a competitive year round swim

Jason J Fu
Jason began competitive swimming 7 years ago in Beijing and joined
Pleasanton Seahawks when he moved to San Ramon. He has also swam
for DVHS for three years now and loves to be in the pool. He firmly
believes that anyone can become a great swimmer with a strong
foundation in technique, a desire to work hard and improve and most
importantly, by having fun.
