Tim Driscoll

Tim is started with the Barracudas Swim Team in 2012. Before joining the Barracudas, he was the Head Coach of the Northwest CT YMCA Lasers from 2008-2012, Asst. Girl’s Coach at Torrington High School from 2000-2008, the Asst. Boy’s Coach at Torrington High School from 2005-2007 and Asst. Coach for Litchfield High School from 1999-2004. Tim graduated from Southern Connecticut State University, where he was a member of the Men’s swim team, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Over the course of his coaching career Tim's swimmers have broken numerous Team, YMCA League, and YMCA New England records. He has sent numerous swimmers to compete at the collegiate level including NCAA National Champions and has developed YMCA National Qualifiers, YMCA League, and CT High School State Champions. Tim resides in Wolcott with his wife Amber, and his children Luke and Vivienne.

William is a Barracuda alum (2008-10) returning to the Y to begin his age group coach career. William, a competitive swimmer since the age of 7, swam locally at Woodland Regional High School, then at Adelphi University (2011-14), and is currently an active member of US Masters Swimming. Through his swimming career, he has earned All-NVL honors as well as being his High School team Captian his Junior and Senior years, leaving as a school record holder. His success has continued in US Masters Swimming where he has had 12 Individual USMS Top 10 Swims, 15 Relay USMS Top 10 Swims, and competed at the 2017 FINA World Masters Championships in Budapest. William is looking to share his love of the sport with future generations of swimmers. 

Kolby Driscoll

Kolby started her swimming career at a young age swimming for the Northwest CT YMCA Lasers for a number of years. Following that, in high school, she was a swim instructor at the Northwest CT YMCA. Currently, she is a lifeguard and Waterfront Director at a summer camp in Washington, CT and has been there for four years. Kolby joined the Waterbury Barracudas team in 2019 and coaches the Brass, Age Group and Juniors groups. Kolby lives in Torrington, CT and goes to school full time at Sacred Heart University studying Political Science and American History.
