Kelley grew up in Ashton, Maryland and came to Texas in 1987 to swim for the University of Texas at Austin. At UT, she was a member of two NCAA Division 1 Championship teams. She represented the United States in the 1986 Goodwill Games and the 1987 Pan Pacific Games, where she won the 200m butterfly. She has been coaching athletes in and out of the pool for the last 15 years. Currently, she is a teacher in Denton ISD and the proud mom of 4 kids. Her youngest, Chad, will swim for the Lightning this season. She is so excited to get the season started and to coach Lantana swimmers to be the best they can be!
Jill grew up in Highland Village, after moving from Sioux Falls, SD. She began swimming in 5th grade for LAC, and then joined the Marcus High School Varsity team her freshman year. Jill competed at the state and national levels, and went on to swim on scholarship for Henderson State University. This will be her 8th year to coach for Lantana, and she has loved every minute she spends with Lantana's awesome kids! She currently teaches 4th grade at Prairie Trail Elementary, and lives with her husband and 4 kids in Highland Village! Her daughter Kate (10) will swim with the team this summer! Go Lightning!
My name is Maggie Doucet. I am 32 years old and live in Highland Village, TX. I am married and have 2 wild boys 3 and 1. My husband is a Firefighter for the City of Grapevine and Justin.
I am a Special Education teacher for Lewisville ISD. I have been teaching 10 years. I grew up in Highland Village and swam on LAC for 13 years and for Marcus High School. My sister, Jill Miller is also coaching. I have coached Lantana for 3 years previously. I can't wait for this year! It will be a blast!
Hello! My name is Brooke Scherer, and I'm super excited to be coaching this summer! I have been swimming since I was 5 and have spent the last 4yrs swimming for the Guyer high school team. I am recently graduated and plan on attending Texas A&M University in the fall to study Biomedical Engineering. I love kids and I hope to instill a passion for swimming the way my coaches have in the past.
Sabrina Carlile grew up in North Texas. She started swimming for Wellington Sharks at age 7. She then swam and played water polo for the Ryan high school varsity team for all 4 years, graduating in 2010. Sabrina then moved to Southern California to play NCAA water polo at Whittier College, graduating in 2014. She has been coaching for 6 years, and this will be her third year to coach Lantana Lightning. She is excited for an awesome summer of swim team!
