Coach Scott Caron comes to Silver Hawk Aquatics with a wealth of swimming and coaching experience.  He has spent the past 12 years at Patriot Aquatics in Altamonte Springs as the Head Age Group Coach.  Patriot Aquatics is a 150+ member team that is continually ranked one of the top teams in Florida.  His positions with Patriot Aquatics included Head Age Group Coach, Assistant Coach for Lake Brantley High School, Summer League Director, Masters Coach and assistant Pool Manager.  While at Patriot Aquatics, team consistently finished in the Top 10 at Florida Age Group Championships, swimmers set several individual and relay State records as well as being nationally ranked. 

Prior to Patriot Aquatics, Scott was the Aquatics Director and Head Coach for the North Central Florida YMCA.   With over 20 years coaching experience he has gained an American Swim Coach Association (ASCA) Level 4 certification and is currently on the Florida Swimming Board of Directors as the Age Group Chairman as well as being a past president of the Florida Swim Coaches Association (FSCA). In 2001 Scott was USA Swimming select distance camp assistant coach and in 2002 received the ASCA Award of Excellence. In 2003 he was as speaker at the Eastern Coaches Clinic. Scott was also selected as a coach for the Florida Zone Swim Team in 1999 and 2005. 
 

Some of the achievements of Scott’s swimmers include: 4th place girls finish at the YMCA national championships, 7 USA Swimming Academic All-Americans, over 20 college swimmers, 7 high school All-Americans, 6 Florida Swimmers of the Year, 15 Junior National Qualifiers, State Record Holders, YMCA National Record Holder in 5 events, and 2004 Olympic Trial Qualifier. 

Scott will be coaching the Senior group as well as assisting all coaches with their groups having an emphasis on creating a competitive training environment with a keen eye on stroke technique.

Scott is originally from Seminole, FL and competed for West Florida Lightning Aquatics for 9 years and competed at Junior Nationals, was selected to the Florida Zone Team, was a part of state record relays.  He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism.

He is married to Thuy with 2 children, Grace (8) & Hunter (4).
