Jason Michael Swaim
Head Coach - Seniors & Silver Group
Coach Jason began swimming competitively in middle Georgia at the age of 8. During Jason's swimming career he won several state titles in Breaststroke, Free, and IM events. He swam briefly for Georgia Southern and began his coaching career in 1999. He was selected as a Georgia Zone Team Coach in 2013 and 2014. Both Georgia Zone squads won the Southern Zone Championship. Jason is also the Head Zone Coach for the 2016 campaign which placed 2nd overall winning the Women's division. He has been coaching for 15 years, all of them with SMAC! He enjoys politics, rugby, comedy, and good attendance!
Team Founder- Junior Group Coach
Dr. Lee Stockslager founded Middle Georgia Aquatics in 1981 and the team chaanged the name to Swim Macon in the early 2000's. He attended and swam at the University of the South in Swanee. In the teams 35 year history Dr. Stockslager has coached several NCAA Division I & II National Champions, a Division I National Champion, several Olympic Trials qualifiers, and numerous State and Sectional level champions. Lee is also the most decorated coach in GISA Swimming history, winning numerous GISA State titles as the head coach for the Mount De Sales swim team. Lee's swimmers have achieved at some of the highest levels of the sport,and his experience is vital to the program. We are very excited he will be co-coaching the Junior group this season.
Leah Marie Roesler
Junior Group Coach
Juniors Coach Leah Roesler enjoys the outdoors, graphic design, and of course swimming. She began competitively swimming at the age of six and continued until graduating from college. She attended the University of Wyoming where she balanced Division I swimming with being a student for four years. As a member of her schools conference team she was able to experience competition at a high level. She enjoys taking everything she has learned from her coaches, teammates, and experiences and passing it on to young swimmers!
Gold Group Coach
Coach Tana Selby primarily coaches the Gold group. Tana hails from Northern California, and was an Olympic Trials qualifier for legendary US National Team Coach Richard Quick at Auburn University. Tana is still an avid Masters swimmer who trains 3-4 times a week. Tana also recently swam in the Golden Olympics and won several events. She is also an acccomplished artist and mother of two boys. Tana has coached every developmental group at Swim Maccon over the last 5 years. Her experience and knowledge are an asset to the program,
