Age Group Coach - Red Junior
Administrator - Learn-to-Swim
Coach Tracy got her start in youth swimming in 2007, in The Woodlands, TX, helping to run the community summer league swim team, Imperial Oaks Seals. After moving to Tomball in 2010 she joined the executive board of the Northpointe Shockwaves, where she also worked as both a stroke and turn official and computer meet manager for the team. In 2013 she went on to help start the TCAT Summer League Team for NWAL, to help further spread youth swimming throughout the Tomball community. Tracy has been with Tomball Area Swim Club since it was founded in 2012. In the beginning she served as a volunteer administrator. She helped to organize and facilitate the learn-to-swim program. She has worked with both swimmers and parents, helping families understand the ins and outs of the sport. After working closely with numerous teams and coaches for over 10 years and with a continued passion for the sport, she decided that coaching was where she needed to be and completed the certification and training process with USA Swimming to become a certified Age Group Swim Coach. As of 2019 she holds Level 3 certification with the American Swimming Coaches Association.
Age Group Coach - White Group
Coach Ashley works with our entry level competitive group and helps to monitor the progression of our swimmers in our learn-to-swim program. Ashley has a natural gift for working with young beginning swimmers and works hard to see them succeed in the sport. Ashley is a Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor and has years of coaching experience. She has worked for Tomball ISD, TCATS Summer League and The City of Tomball teaching young athletes how to swim and compete. Ashley began competing at the age of 7 for the Imperial Oaks Seals and was one of the first swimmers to join Tomball Area Swim Club in 2012. She swam all four years of high school for the varsity team at Tomball Memorial, where she served as team captain her senior year, helping lead the team to the State Championship Meet. Ashley is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Houston.
Age Group Coach - Red Group
Coach Nick got into swimming later than most, starting summer league with the Greenwood Forest Breakers in 2011 at the age of 12. He developed Stevens Johnson Syndrome at an earlier age and hoped swimming would help him continue to get better. Nick quickly realized he could be quite good at swimming and decided to take it to the next level and swim year around joining TeamFins in late 2012. Nick improved rapidly while at Fins swimming under Trent Trabona and Texas Swimming Hall of Fame Coach John Vogel until his junior year of high school. Nick also saw success in high school. Swimming for the Homeschool Christian Youth Association he achieved 2nd Team All State in his individual 50 Free and helped his team achieve 1st Team All State in the 200 Free Relay. Nick swam for Premier Aquatics during his junior and senior years of high school before moving to TASC in the spring of 2017 where he still actively trains and competes at the sectionals level. Nick began coaching for TASC in 2018 and in addition to being a USA Swim Coach he also holds a certification in Strength and Conditioning from the International Sports Sciences Association.
Coach David has been swimming competitively for 13 years. He is currently a senior at Tomball High School where he serves as the team captain for the Varsity Water Polo Team. Coach David is beginning his second season as a learn-to-swim instructor with TASC and does a phenomenal job working with young swimmers. In school David has a passion for engineering and chess and likes to spend his Saturdays volunteering with local nursing homes. In the fall of 2020 he plans to attend Texas Tech University.
Coach Jarek moved from Utah to Tomball Texas in August, 2014. He played competitive soccer from ages 3 to 17. Growing up, Jarek found that he enjoyed many sports, including swimming. He has swum competitively for 3 years and has been a junior coach for The Wipeouts summer swim team for two years. While coaching he assisted his team in winning the #1 rank in their division for both years. Jarek graduated from Klein Oak High School in 2018 and is now studying Engineering in the Honors Fellowship Program at Lone Star College- Tomball. He hopes to transfer to either the University of Utah or University of Texas in the fall of 2020.
Coach Abbey has been swimming competitvely for five years and has been with Tomball Area Swim Club since 2016. She is a RedCross certified lifeguard who has worked for both Tomball ISD and TCATS Summer League swim team teaching swim lessons and coaching young competitive swimmers. Abbey has a talent for working with young children that has been fostered in part by being the oldest of 6 six siblings. Abbey is currently enrolled in the Honors Fellowship Program at Lone Star College with future plans of transferring to Baylor University to major in Pre-Med. Tomball Area Swim Club is very proud to have Coach Abbey as part of the team.
Callie is currently attending Tomball Memorial High School where she is a member of the varsity swim team. Callie has been competitively swimming for over eight years. She started swimming for Northpointe Shockwaves and progressed to USA Swimming beginning with TASC. Callie is a RedCross certified lifeguard. Callie love kids and enjoys teaching and encouraging them to be the best swimmer they can be.
Coach Maddie is currently a junior at Tomball High School where she is a member of the Varsity Swim Team. Maddie spent this past summer working as a Red Cross certified lifeguard for the city of Tomball. She enjoys giving her time to Camp Angel, a camp retreat for special needs children and their families. Coach Maddie loves working with young children and encouraging them to learn new things. TASC is pleased to have her aboard for the 2019-2020 season.
