Rachel Millet

Rachel Millet is a recent graduate of the University of Idaho, where she majored in Child Development and Family Relations. She is now a USA Swimming Certified Coach. She swam for the Vandals, winning four individual Western Athletic Conference (WAC) titles and was named the WAC Swimmer Of The Year in 2014. She finished her career as one of the best swimmers in school history, with University of Idaho program records in the 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, and 200 Individual Medley. She is excited to share her passion, experience, and knowledge with young swimmers. 

Melissa Kirby

Melissa Kirby’s coaching experience began in McMinnville, Oregon where she taught introductory swim lessons while swimming for the McMinnville High School Grizzlies under the tutelage of Coaches Kyle Kimball and Jason Hafner. She graduated from the University of Idaho where she majored in Nutrition with a minor in Spanish. While in attendance, she competed on the U of I Swim and Dive team under the training and guidance of Head Coach Mark Sowa, Coach Scott Cameron, and Coach Ashley Jhan. During her 3 years as a Vandal she instructed swim lessons for those with special needs which truly solidified the joy and inspiration she finds in the sport.

Brandon Fairhurst

Brandon Fairhurst, currently a Senior at Gonzaga University, has had the opportunity to work with different organizations and coaches throughout his coaching career. In his hometown of Snohomish, Washington, Brandon worked Under Ben Olszewski at the Snohomish Aquatic Center, coaching the senior group of their Summer Swim Team. Brandon was the Spokane Parks and Rec Aquaducks Swim Team Head Coach before joining SAS, and still works with the Parks to help the young swimmers gain racing experience. He has been teaching or coaching swimming for over five years now, and enjoys every moment of it.
Before coaching, Brandon swam for Snohomish High School, coached by Robert Serviss, and also for the Stingray Swim Team, coached by Ben Olszewski. 
He is also Lifeguard certified, a Lifeguard Instructor, and has held multiple management positions at different pools in the Spokane Area.
