My coaching philosophy is that I believe in each swimmer's
potential as athletes, team mates, and leaders. I believe every
swimmer has something to give to the team whether you are new to
the team or experienced. I will work with each swimmer to develop
personal goals for stroke and time achievement.
I have over 20 years of swimming experience that includes coaching
and officiating. As a Head Coach for USA Swimming, recreation, and
high school teams, I have helped coach numerous swimmers to reach
championship-level meets. Many of the swimmers I have coached have
gone on to swim for college and university teams.
I look forward to getting to know all the swimmers I will be
coaching for the Woodstock Dolphins and helping them to reach their

I have been coaching competitive athletics for over 35 years. My
coaching experience includes over 20 years coaching
competitive swimming for recreation and high school teams, and
as a certified USA Swimming coach. My accomplishments
include helping swimmers reach championship-level meets for
Regionals and State championships and has placed many young men and
women into Division I, II, and III collegiate-ranked schools.
I look forward to a successful relationship with the Woodstock

Each swimmer has their own unique skills to bring to the
pool. I enjoy working with swimmers on achieving their goals.
I have been a competitive swimmer for 15 years for the Cary
Barraculdas, McHenry Marlins, Cary-Grove High School and NCAA 4
year swimmer at Carroll University Swimming and Diving Team.
I competed mainly in the backstroke and long distant freestyle,
specifically the 200, 500 and mile. I have been coaching for
the Cary Barracudas and Mundelein Mustangs swim teams for about 11
I am excited to be working with the Woodstock Dolphins Swim
I started swimming when I was 4 years old (with the Lesniaks as
my coaches) and recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin
- Whitewater, where I swam all 4 years. I have reached
championships level meets including NCAAs, but really cherish the
memories and friendships that I have made throughout my years of
swimming. My main strokes were butterfly and breaststroke. I
look forward to everything coming full circle with me coaching with
the coaches that taught me, being on the the other side of the
sport and impacting swimmers the way my coaches impacted me.

This is my 5thseason coaching swimming with the Round
Lake Ducks and 1stsummer assisting the Woodstock
Dolphins. I was Head Water Polo coach for the Barrington Swim Club
while they had a team a few years ago.
I have been swimming since I was 5 at the Barrington Swim Club
and then at Barrington HS as a 4 year Varsity swimmer where I
participated in numerous Championship meets all around the Country,
including Age Group, Zones, Senior Champs, Illinois State HS and
more. My main strokes are the Individual medley and Breaststroke.
Swimming lead to Water Polo where I was a 4 year Varsity
starter, 3 time all conference and 2 time all state leading the
team through Sectionals and onto a State berth Playing Water Polo
at Connecticut College.
Sarah Lesniak has been swimming competitively since the age of 5
years old. She swam for the McHenry Marlins, Round Lake Ducks and
McHenry Aquatics Club. Sarah was a 4-year Varsity Swimmer and
captain of the McHenry girls high school swim team. She currently
attends the University of Wisconsin Green Bay where she runs the
universities swim meets and teaches lessons to all
Sarah's favorite strokes are the 100 Breaststroke and the 50/100
freestyle. Sarah has been coaching the Round Lake Ducks swim team
for 7 years and 2 of them she has been the Head Coach. Sarah is
excited to be working with the Woodstock Dolphins. Sarah loves to
work with all age swimmers and enjoys seeing them achieve their
goals and develop through hard work.
You can't put a limit on anything. The more you dream the farther
Phillip was a 4-year varsity swimmer at McHenry High School and a
4-year varsity and captain of the state qualifying water polo team
his junior/ senior years. He is a fireman and paramedic in Mchenry.
Phillip has been swimming competitively since the age of 5 swimming
with the Mchenry Marlins and the Mchenry Aquatic Club. He also swam
for the Round Lake Ducks.
Phillip enjoys seeing the swimmers achieve their goals with hard
work and dedication. He looks forward to working with the Woodstock
