Coach Michelle grew up in Elkhart where she attended Concord Community Schools. She had a deep love of the water and joined the Concord Swim Club at the age of 6. Her coaching career started when she taught swim lessons, which she has taught since 1998. In 1999, her junior year of high school, she became an assistant coach for Concord Swim Club. By the time she was done with high school, she held 7 high school records including the 200 and 500 free and the 200 IM. After high school, she swam at Ball State University where she received many honors such as being a top three point scorer the first three years she was there and placing in the top 8 at the MAC conference meet all four years.

In the summers, Coach Michelle continued to pursue a coaching career. The first summer she returned home and became a lead group coach with the Concord Swim Club. The next four summers she coached for the Ball State Swim Camp. She was also appointed the head coach/counselor for two years, a position usually reserved for the college assistant coach.

For the next four years, Coach Michelle coached at Concord Swim Club, before being asked to lead the development of a club for the Elkhart Community. During her time as a coach, she has had many zone, quad, state, and divisional swimmers, including one swimmer who placed in the top 12 in the nation for her age group. She has been asked to coach at two, Northern Indiana, Catch the Spirit Camps, two Age Group Elite camps for the top 11-14 swimmers in the state, zones where she was the coach of 11-12 girls for team Indiana, and has been appointed the head coach for Team Indiana's 2013 zone diversity meet this summer. She was also able to coach at the CAN-AM Para-Olympic games in Alberta, Canada.

Coach Michelle has taught for the Elkhart School System since 2007. Currently, she is a 5th grade teacher at Mary Daly Elementary School. She is extremely excited to be coaching for the same school system where she teaches and help to make Elkhart United a highly competitive respectable club in our region and beyond.

Coach Wyatt grew up in Elkhart; he was introduced to competitive swimming as a lifeguard at Elkhart Parks Department. Through that experience, he was offered a job as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Concord High School in 2009. After watching swimmers and coaches at practice, he started self teaching himself the strokes using the guidance of the instruction he would hear as he lifeguarded.

Starting in 2008, he began teaching swim lessons at Pierre Moran. Through the guidance of skilled peers and long time successful coaches, he soon became proficient at teaching lessons and the next year started teaching lessons at Concord. It was through these experiences, that he became interested in coaching.  In the Fall on 2011, Wyatt agreed to come coach for the Blue Wave Aquatic Club. He has been a valuable asset to our team and building a future for the team.  He is currently attending college and is the coach for the Blue groupb.
