Our Coaches bring experience, skill and enthusiasm to teaching and mentoring  We have excellent coaches that truly want to help up your child make their own personal improvements, as well as be positive influences in their lives. 

Of course this comes with a little exciting team competition and great sportsmanship!

Amy Spencer

Coach Amy began her swimming career at the age of 5 right here at CGAC. After competing for the CGHS girls swim team (97-2001),she went on to compete for Michigan State University (2001-2003). Amy graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and from University of Indianapolis with a Masters of Occupational Therapy. She is currently a school-based occupational therapist when she is not at the pool.

Amy began her coaching career in 2003, after an injury led to surgery and “retirement” from competition. While pursuing her undergraduate and Master’s degrees, she served as an assistant coach for CGAC and for CGHS. She has spent time coaching at every team, and  became head age-group coach in 2012 and continues to assist with the Senior and high school teams. Amy and her husband, JT, live in Greenwood with their dogs, Bella and Maggie.

Samantha Dikeman

Coach Sam has been with CGAC for 28 years. She swam competitively for 10 years with CGAC. Once she was done swimming, she began coaching and has coached for the last 18 years here at CGAC. She has had the privilege of coaching every Age Group team at some point plus the Middle school swim team for many years.  For the last 5 years, she has coached the White Team and Sharks and Minnows developing the new swimmers' stroke techniques and teaching them to love the sport!  She currently holds an ASCA level 2 certification. When Coach Sam is not in the pool, She teaches at Center Grove Elementary. Sam and her husband Brent live in the Center Grove Area with their 2 children Harper and Hudson.

Kevin Trammell

Coach Trammell began his swimming journey at Indian Creek Senior High where he was the Team Captain. His collegiate career was balanced with commitments to ROTC at Indiana University while also being a SCUBA instructor and swim instructor. He then went on to serve in the Armed Services for 23 years before retiring.  Coach Kevin brings that experience garnered in the Army as an instructor and mentor to the satellite team based in Mooresville for both Seniors and Age Group teams. He is also the Head Coach for the Mooresville High School Pioneers and led both the boys and girls team in the most successful year in the schools history for the 2018-2019 season.  Coach Trammell is very excited about the future t fthe satellite team and the partnership with Mooresville. Being part of the CGAC family provides so many more opportunities for swimmers from a small town to swim up to thier potential and contribute in individual events and to relay teams at the championship level.

I began my swimming career at the age of 8 for Michigan Marlins which became Irish Aquatics in South Bend Indiana. I swam varsity all four years in high school and then went on to swim variety for Butler University for two years. I retired early due to an injury my sophomore year at Butler. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  I recently moved back to Indianapolis and currently work as a school based Speech Language Pathology Assistant.  I am very excited to begin my coaching career for Center Grove Aquatic Club!

 

Jason Hite

Coach Jason Hite began was the head coach at various high schools in the Springfield, Missouri area before serving as Assistant Coach at Drury University where has spent the last three years. At DU, Coach Hite helped the Panthers win four NCAA Division II national championships, handling recruiting and various operational responsibilities. In June 2015, Coach Hite was named Head Coach for the University of Indianapolis Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Team. Coach Hite recently led the UIndy men's team to its hgest finish at nationals since 2007, while the womens team scored points at natinls for the first time since 2014.  Coach Hite is the head coach at our UIndy site and UIndy age group and senior teams.
