Trevor joins Howard County Aquatics after spending the last couple years as the Lead Senior Coach for Velocity Aquatics in Minnesota. Trevor's swim and coaching journey started at age 7 for a summer league in Brownstown, Indiana, and by age 10 he was swimming club year round. He found his passion for swimming during high school, and knew he wanted to compete at the collegiate level. In the fall of 2008 Trevor walked onto the team at Valparaiso University. During his freshman season he cut enough time to earn a partial scholarship for the rest of his collegiate career. He swam all 4 years at Valpo, and still has his name on the schools top 10 list in 3 events: 500 Free(4th ), 100 Breast(10th), and 200 free relay(9th)
After college Trevor landed an assistant coaching job at Norwich University where he coached for 4 seasons. During his time at NU 18 school records were broken, and he helped build a roster for the women’s team. In the fall of 2017 Trevor was hired as the Head Swim Coach at WVU-Tech in Beckley, WV. During his lone season with the Golden Bears 3 swimmers placed 2nd in an individual event at NAIA Nationals, 9 school records were broken, and his teams were honored for their academic success. Trevor earned a “Certificate of Excellence” from ASCA for his time at WVU-Tech. In addition to his collegiate coaching Trevor has coached for 4 different USA Clubs. Most recently he was the senior coach for Velocity Aquatics in Minnesota where he coached a wide range of abilities ranging from "C" swimmers to Futures, Sectionals, Zones, and All Stars qualifiers. Trevor graduated from Valpo in 2012 with a B.S. in Geography and earned an MBA from Norwich University in 2017. Trevor still swims masters, and believes swimming creates self-discipline that can be drawn on at any point in life! Go Hurricanes!!!
