Adam Young

Head Coach

Email

A native of southern Indiana Adam swam his first event as a sophomore at Edgewood high school.   Before finishing his prep career he set school records in the 500 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay and helped his team win the school’s first conference championship.  In college Adam specialized in distance events and was a key part of a Vincennes University team that finished second in the country.  He also has won multiple Masters state championships and has worked alongside some of the best talent the IHSAA and NCAA have to offer.  As a student of the sport the unassuming Young is big on fundamentals and technique but never loses sight of the most important part, fun.  According to Adam “Swimming is an individually focused sport but to me it is still all about team, team, team.  The camaraderie, community and family environment is what makes this sport special.” Adam holds degrees from Vincennes University as well as Indiana University.  Adam is President of Hoosier Financial and spends his spare time with his daughter Megan and enjoys biking, hiking, gardening, basketball, cooking and, of course, swimming.

COACH:  Minnows

Josh is a 2017 graduate Bedford North Lawrence High School. He swam with Lawrence County Aquatics for 8 years and was a 4 year varsity swimmer for the BNL Stars.  As a senior he was co-captain and member of the 2017 Sectional Championship team.

As a former swimmer Josh looks to help swimmers focus on the technique and fundamentals of in each stroke. According to Josh the support and swimmer family that the team provides is a big key to success. The individual has to find a place where they feel wanted and want to come back day after day because it feels like home to them. His goal is not only to develop fast swimmers, but to create an environment in which each child can feel comfortable, welcome and part of something bigger.
