Karl John Kozicki

Head Coach/Program Director

Coach Karl is a native of Farmington Hills MI and a graduate of North Farmington HS.  He is a graduate of  Oakland University in Rochester MI and was a 10 time NCAA Division II All American, a member of 3 NCAA Division I I National Title winning squads and Team Captain his senior year.  Karl began coaching with the Oakland Live Y’ers in Rochester MI as Top Senior Assistant, and was part of the 2000 Boys runner up finish at the North East Junior Nationals.  In the fall of 2000 Karl became Head Coach of the Anderson Swim Club in SC. In his 8 years there Karl coached all levels from developmental swimmers to Senior National Qualifiers, building the program from 30 swimmers to almost 100 during his tenure.  In 2008 Coach Karl became Top Senior Assistant for Y Spartaquatics. At YSSC Karl developed multiple State and Sectional    Record Holders; Y National Finalist; Summer Junior National; and Olympic Trial Qualifiers.  Karl is a Level 5 American Swimming coaches Association certified coach. His swimmers have produced more than 70 National Age Group Top Ten swims, and three #1 ranked swims.  Karl believes that the personal connection between the coach and athlete; along with hard work and dedication are fundamentally important in the sport of swimming.  Karl resides in Williamston SC with his wife Erica and his two daughters Adison, and Abigail.

Danyelle Parker

Danyelle Parker works primarily with Red and Blue groups.   Prior to joining the staff at Team Greenville, Coach Danyelle coached for seven years with Y-Spartaquatics, in Duncan, SC.   While coaching at Y-Spartaquatics Coach Danyelle worked with Age Group swimmers as a lead group coach, as well as with the youngest swimmers entering competitive swimming.   Coach Danyelle also coached in the Boston area for several years beginning as the Head Coach at the Salem YMCA, which under her leadership went which under her leadership went on to merge with five other YMCA’s to form the YMCA of the North Shore.    While in Boston, Coach Danyelle coached numerous New England Area Age Group Champions, National level swimmers, and YMCA New England Champions.   

Coach Danyelle grew up in Greenville, and fell in love with the sport of swimming when she joined SAIL swimming.   Upon moving to Boston in high school Coach Danyelle continued to swim and played soccer.   Coach Danyelle graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in Political Science and Biology.   Coach Danyelle lives in Greer with her husband Andrew and their three daughter’s Riley, Caroline, and Bridget.    Coach Danyelle loves to cook, read, and spend time at the beach! 

Francisco M Rego

Coach Chico joined the TG Staff in January of 2018 as our Green/Senior 1 lead coach. He is a native Brazilian, Prior to TG he  spent the  3 years coaching Auburn University as a Graduate Assistant while he earned his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology.  Since graduating in May of 2017 he has been a volunteer assistant with the Auburn Pro Team working with several U.S and foreign Olympians alongside renowned coach, Sergio Lopez.  Chico has also had high level club coaching experience in Brazil as a member of the coaching staff for the National Junior Team representing Rio de Janeiro where his athletes set meet records.  In addition to volunteering with the Auburn Pro team he also coached club swimming in nearby Opelika, AL.  Chico has a high energy level and passion for the sport.  His philosophy is that a coach has to give the level of energy, effort and enthusiasm that he expects to get from the swimmers.

Seireyrith (Johnny) Thonn

Coach Johnny is the lead coach of the Pre Senior Group.  In addition to Pre Senior, Coach Johnny enjoys coaching Water Polo.   Previously Coach Johnny was a coach at Y-Spartaquatics for seven years.   Team Greenville is excited to have Coach Johnny!! 

Sherie M Wilson

Coach Sherie Wilson grew up in Columbia, Missouri and Roxbury, New Jersey.  She began competitive swimming at the age of seven although she does not remember a time when she couldn’t swim. Sherie began assistant coaching, teaching swim lessons, and lifeguarding with her summer league team in New Jersey at the age of 15. When it came time for college Sherie choose to major in music instead of swimming (There is not enough time in the day to do both!) and earned a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. While in college in Oklahoma City, she began working at the YMCA where she coached, taught lessons, and taught aqua fitness classes. When her son, Ryan, was 2 years old Sherie and her husband moved here to Greenville and she shifted her focus to being a full time mom for a while. When her son was 8 and her daughter was 5 Sherie began coaching at Eastside Aquatic Club where she coached for seven years.  Sherie also worked at Sportsclub as a group fitness instructor during this time and has had certifications to teach many fitness classes including, aqua fitness, step, cardio kickboxing, body combat, yoga, Pilates, and cycling.  After EAC closed Sherie became the aquatics director at Sportsclub where she created a swim program which included a USA Swimming affiliated team. Sherie is so excited and grateful to be a part of the TG family! In her spare time Sherie can be found working in her yard or taking walks downtown with her husband Larry and their dog Pepper. 

 

 

Cile Williamson

Coach Cile has been at Team Greenville for 14 years.   She began as a swim parent, and has held roles with the Booster Club, and now coaching.  Coach Cile also is an avid Masters swimmer, and is the Head Coach of the JL Mann Patriots, where she has led her team to three State Championships in just seven seasons.     She is an ASCA Level 2 certified coach.

Bill Joseph Ewell

Coach Bill has started working with Team Greenville assisting and leading groups.  He started started swimming at age 9 in Philadelphia swimming for Suburban/FoxCatcher under Frank Keefe, (1988 US Olympic head swim coach)  Coach Bill swam at  Bloomsburg College a Division II school and was captain his senior year, and a national qualifier in the 200 butterfly.  In his early years Coach Bill coached at the Upper Main Line YMCA outside of Philadelphia.   
 
Coach Bill has five children  and took some time off from coaching while they were younger.  Ten years ago he  started back swimming and coaching with Blue Wave in Brandon, FL along with coach Don LaMonte (Hall of Fame Coach) and Peter Banks (Swim Ireland National Team Director).  Coach Bill and his wife Janie moved to Sarasota, Florida where he continued swimming Master's with the Sarasoat Sharks.   Coach Bill is a certified stroke and turn official, loves to volunteer with the Adult Learn to Swim Programs, and loves Open Water Swimming.   Coach Bill and his wifed moved to Greenville in January and they have been making a splash ever since!  Fun Fact:  Coach Bill's wife Janie is a certfied Level 2 Kayak Instructor!

Roy Dessloch

Roy Dessloch has been with Team Greenville with since September 1991 and has over 42 years of coaching experience at all levels. He retired from full-time coaching in August 2013.

Coach Roy served as head coach of what is now Team Greenville from September 1991 until October 2004. He has competed and coached on the age group, high school, collegiate, and Masters levels. His coaching experience includes head coaching stints at Hagerstown YMCA (MD), Mountaineer Swim Club (WV), and Anderson Swim Club (SC) producing numerous national top sixteen swimmers in addition to Zone, YMCA, and Junior National qualifiers. Dessloch is a native of Pennsylvania, a graduate of Wabash College, and obtained his masters at West Virginia University.  He has served as Head Zone Team Coach, Secretary, Age Group Chair, Technical Planning Chair, and Coaches Representative for South Carolina Swimming, and currently serves as Genral Chair.
