Mark Temple

Head Coach/High Performance/Senior Coach


Mary Hazdovac



Mary Hazdovac has been with the Monterey Bay Swim Club (MBSC) for 0ver 20 years. She brings experienced leadership to a program that is the best in the county. MBSC programs emphasize the healthful benefits of swimming. Hazdovac serves as a mentor for all student athletes she coaches. Ms. Hazdovac has a Masters degree in psychology.

Martine Armstrong

Head Age Group Coach, JAG/Gold MPC


Martine Armstrong has been a part of U.S A swimming for well over 15 years as a student athlete and coach. As an age group swimmer she was fortunate to swim for elite age group programs, participating in several Junior Olympic, Far Westerns and All-Stars. Martine has over 5 years of Pacific Swimming coaching experience. She has coached swimmers from Novice to National Age-Group Top 16.  Martine also works for California State University Monterey Bay as an Admissions and Retention Advisor.

Vicki Rhea

Core Training/ Dry land Coach


Coach Vicky is one of our coaches for MBSC's unique gymnastics based dry land program. Coach Vicki collaborated with coach Mark to create a unique program geared specifically to swimmers to increase strength and flexibility in our swimmers.

Sierra Burton

Yellow Bell Coach


Sierra was a nationally ranked Age Group swimmer and a Grand Prix Medalist. Sierra’s club swimming career began at SVA and finished at MBSC. She was a Pacific Swimming and National age group record holder, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, and NISCA Academic All-American. Sierra earned nine All-American Standards and was a Junior National qualifier in the 100 freestyle and a US Open qualifier in the 200 freestyle. Sierra earned an Athletic and Academic Scholarship to Washington State University before transferring to the University of Southern California to complete her undergraduate studies. While at USC, she served two years as a student-manager for USC Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving. She brings her expertise and passion for swimming to her coaching working with the Yellow Bell groups.
