Pete R Giulioni
Head Coach, Founder, President
Coach Pete is an ASCA Certified Level 3 Swim Coach. Pete started coaching in 2007 and was also a Lifeguard Trainer prior to Founding HoCo Aquatics. His coaching career began at the Howard County Y, where in a few short years he helped turn them into one of the strongest Y teams around, winning the 8 and Under Championships for boys and girls for four straight years (2007 - 2011). He has also coached teams in the CMSL summer league for over 7 years; with Rolling Wood for three years, the Head Coach for the Waverly Woods 2010 -2014, and also coached morning practices for Towson Unversity in 2013. He created HoCo Aquatics in 2011 and within two years has already produced Maryland State and Sectional's swimmers, along with developing a very strong young group of swimmers. He brings a tremendous amount of energy to the swim team as well as instilling motivation into its swimmers to continually improve while having fun.
Jennifer M Lomangino
Assistant Head Coach
Jen is an ASCA Certified Level lI Swim Coach. She has a great background in aquatics and has been teaching swim lessons and coaching swimmers of all ages and levels for over 10 years. Jen began swimming competitively at age 12 at Hammond Park and the Howard County Y during high school. Jen also swam for Fairmont State University while attending college.
Sophia Brigid Cantore
Head Junior Coach
Sophia is an ASCA Certified Level l Swim Coach. She has been working with children teaching swimming lessons for the past 6 years. She started swimming competitively on her neighborhood summer swim team when she was 4. She began swimming year round at age 5. Sophia is currently attending UMBC where she is majoring in Mathematics.
Head Mini Coach
Coach Ryan started his competitive
swimming career with the Baltimore City Swim Club (BCSC) at
Callowhill Aquatic Center. Ryan ended his competitive swimming
career with the Mariners at Gilman in 2004. When Ryan's competitive
swimming career ended, he became one of six assistant coaches for
the CATY Barracudas at the Catonsville Y. With the CATY Barracudas
Ryan had the opportunity to work with all age groups. After Ryan
left the Catonsville Y in the spring of 2009, he was given the
opportunity to start and develop a brand-new swim team at the
Randallstown Y Swim Center. In the fall of 2009 Ryan became the
Founder and Head Coach for the YRAC Sharks at the Randallstown Y
Swim Center. In Ryan's first year as Head Coach he had the
opportunity to take two swimmers to Winter fest at College Park and
four swimmers to District Championships at Fairland Aquatic Center.
In 2013 Ryan moved on to coach for Merritt Athletic Clubs (MAS) In
addition to coaching Ryan also took on the role as Swim Team
Administrator and Aquatic Manager for the Downtown and Fort Ave
Merritt locations. Ryan comes to HoCo with over 10 years of
experience in coaching. He is an USA swimming coach and currently
holds the following certifications... Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid,
Pool Operators, and level three ASCA.
Daniel Cano Hueros
Daniel is an ASCA Certified Level l Swim Coach. Originally from Madrid, Spain, Daniel obtained a full scholarship from University of Maryland Baltimore County to be part of their Division I Swimming and Diving Team. He is an experienced swimmer who has won multiple medals at National Championships and has represented his country in several international competitions at a high level. During his college career, Daniel swam for the UMBC Retrievers and helped the team to win three Conference Championships. Daniel graduated in 2016 with a B.S in Information Systems.
Jake recently graduated from Elizabethtown College with a B.S. in Biology, and a minor in Psychology. He swam for the Elizabethtown College Swim Team since he was a freshman, eventually becoming team captain in his senior year. Jake started swimming when he was 8 years old for Rollingwood Swim Team(where he swam for coach pete) and the Catonsville YMCA. He was the Head Coach of Woodbridge Valley Swim team for two years, and has been the assistant coach at Five Oaks Swim Team for two years.
Coach Elisa has been swimming since age 9. She started
swimming year round for GBSA and swam there until graduating from
Mount Hebron High School in 2012. Elisa swam in college for
the McDaniel Green Terror, where she majored in Psychology and
minored in Elementary Education. For the last six summers she
has been a coach for the CMSL team, the North St. Johns Blue
Marlins. While not at the pool, she teaches third grade at
Bollman Bridge Elementary and enjoys spending time with her
Coach Pat is an ASCA Certified Level 3 Swim Coach. Pat has 7 years
overall of coaching experience. He has coached at the high school
level and for USA swim programs over the years. Most recently, he
coached at Daytona Beach Swimming while in Chiropractic School
where he coached Olympic trial qualifiers and top ten USA age group
swimmers. Additionally, Patrick swam competitively in the Baltimore
area from ages 5-18. Later in his career, he swam at the University
of Maryland where he learned about swimming at the intercollegiate
level. We are excited to have Pat join the team as he brings much
competitive swimming experience and knowledge to the swim
Megan W Lehane
Megan is an ASCA Level l Swim Coach and has been coaching since 2007. She is a graduate of JMU. She has a very strong background in aquatics and has worked in various capacities at the YMCA including Aquatics Coordinator & Director. She has taught swim lessons for all ages including 6 month old babies up to adult age swimmers. She has coached for the CSML summer league swim teams, Waverly Woods and most recently with Rollingwood. Megan is a much loved and well respected member of our family!
