of dollars towards their college education.
Produced 7 USA Scholastic All-Americans.
Leanne raised 4 children who all
went on to Division I swim programs. Involved in competitive
swimming for over 40 years, Leanne has established the first
Coach-owned USA team in Southern Maine. Strongly encouraged
and supported by her athletes and families, Leanne is thrilled
about the future of swimming in Maine. She plans to embrace and
guide those families with youngsters looking to take advantage of
all that USA competitive swimming has to offer. Having taught early
on as a Red Cross Swim instructor, Leanne enjoys guiding the very
young and novice athlete all the way up to the Nationally ranked
athlete. Devoted to coaching children of all levels, Leanne holds a
BA in Child Development and Classical Civilization from Connecticut
College and has earned all credits for her MA in Teaching Latin and
Classical Humanities from Boston University.

Fritz has been involved in competitive swimming
for almost 50 years and is the father of 2 children who also swim
competitively. After a corporate career of almost 30 years
specializing in government contracts in the food and nutrition
industry, Fritz rose to the level of VP of sales and marketing.
During his business career before returning to Maine, Fritz lived
in North Carolina, Southern California, Texas, Connecticut, and
Europe where he continued to swim and coach when time allowed.
Fritz continues to enjoy giving back to swimming
by coaching and supporting his children as they navigate
through the world of age
group and collegiate swimming.

Katherine Elizabeth O'Grady

As SMAC
transitions to a new kind of experience, Katie is joining SMAC to
help us out at training and meets both near and far. She
started swimming at a young age and went on to swim in college at
Henderson State University. She met her wonderful husband
James there and have 2 children - Meagan and Tommy.
Both Tommy and Meagan are active SMAC swimmers and help to
keep their parents out of
trouble.

A Certified
Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Zack has over 10
years of experience being a fitness and biomechanics expert.
He holds a degree in Sports Medicine from the University of
Southern Maine. Along with his degree and teaching Zack has
done at the University of Southern Maine, he possesses additional
prestigious certifications such as Functional Movement
Screen, Sport and Exercise Nutritionist, and USA Weightlifting
level 1. Zack enjoys sports of all kinds and the biomechanics
and patterns that are involved with them. Having a background
in athletics and sports has helped Zack apply his knowledge first
hand. The field of fitness and performance is ever changing
and evolving which allows Zack to continue to learn and grow.
In turn, Zack's athletes become durable, stronger, and
possess greater, more sound movement patterns.
