AJ Rog – Head Coach
AJ Rog has been coaching for SSC for over 10 years. He began swimming when he was 8 years old for Canoe City Swim Club in Old Town, Maine. He was a member of 4 straight High School State Championship teams at Old Town High School from 1986-1989. He went on to swim for 4 years at the University of Maine in Orono, where he specialized in backstroke and IM. He was named Captain his senior year. The year after graduating from University of Maine, he stayed on for one year as an assistant coach. AJ coached the Falmouth High Swim Team for one year.
AJ lives in Cumberland, Maine with his wife, son and daughter, and is a fulltime teacher in Portland.
Emily K. Wells - Coach
Emily grew up in Maine and swam in both high school and college. She has coached at the college level and served as a coach for several club teams in New York City. Emily works as a special education teacher in the Portland school system.
Robert Hale - Coach
Brenda Bacall -- Coach
Brenda has many fond memories of swimming for Seacoast Swim Club from ages 8-18. She swam 4 years at Bowdoin College. Her favorite events were the 200 and 400 IM and the 500 and 1000 free. She lives in North Yarmouth with her husband and three children. Brenda is a certified lifeguard who still swims 3 days a week at the Greely pool, and also enjoys running. Brenda is delighted to have the opportunity to share her love of swimming with new and experienced swimmers.
