Head Coach, Greg Phill
brings over 30 years of coaching experience to BAC. He has a
wealth of experience in both USA and High School
Greg has worked with all
swim levels from beginner to Olympic Gold Medal winner. He
has coached swimmers that have gone to Junior Nationals, Nationals,
Olympic Trials and the U.S. Olympic team. He has
attended multiple swim clinics including the World Coaches Clinic
sponsored by the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) as well
as clinics at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado. Greg
has given clinics sponsored by USA Swimming.
Greg has been recognized
multiple times as Coach of the Year by the Michigan Interscholastic
Swim Coaches Association (MISCA). He was
the 2008 Michigan Coach of the Year and was inducted into the MISCA
Hall of Fame in 2012.
Assistant Coach Jill Sells has been teaching swim lessons for
over 20 years and has taught swimmers from age 6 months to 84 years
old. She has 20 years of coaching experience for all age groups.
She swam four years at the University of Oklahoma where she
specialized in butterfly and freestyle.
Jim Sells is the head coach for the Livonia Churchill boys high school team. He is the head coach of the Livonia Churchill boys high school team and is the assistant coach of the high school girls team for John Glenn High School. Jim joined the coaching team at BAC in 2011. Jim works primarily with the Bulldogs and Senior Bulldogs groups.
Prior to joining the BAC coaching staff in 2014, Scott worked as
a swim instructor. Scott works primarily with the younger
Shaelyn joins the coaching staff this year after many years as an elite swimmer for BAC. Shaelyn will be working primarily with the Bulldog group.
