Assistant Age Group Coach/ Senior 2/ College

Coach Matt has been involved with the Mantas as both an athlete and coach since 2011. After returning to the Mankato area in 2013 to pursue a degree in Information Technology at MSU, Matt felt the desire to try to break his collegiate best times. He started swimming as the "old man" in the club, and stepped onto deck to coach as the opportunities arose. After 2 years of fun and a few new personal bests, Matt decided to retire his cap and goggles and begin his current role as the Assistant Age Group coach in 2015.

Outside of the pool, Matt's interests include cars, technology, and weightlifting. In addition to Mantas, Matt is a Web Developer at his alma mater, Gustavus Adolphus College.
