Gunnar Teigen

Head Coach

Gunnar enters his fifth season with the Bull Sharks.  Prior to his time in Northfield, Gunnar served as Interim Head Coach for the River Falls Swim Club.  Prior to RFSC, Gunnar was an assistant coach for a summer rec team and helped out with the novice program on the club he grew up on.  Gunnar also is entering his fourth year as an Assistant Coach with Carleton College and third year as a coach for the KnightCrawlers (the Masters group in town).  Gunnar is also Minnesota Swimming's Camps Coordinator.  In his down time Gunnar does stadium stairs (weather permitting), swims (some) and is a professional Noon Baller at Carleton's West Gym.  He follows the Milwaukee Bucks, Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badger athletics closely.  He also enjoys a good game of cribbage, Ticket to Ride, Sequence or Settlers of Catan.

Christopher Morgan

Lead Assistant Coach

This will be Chris’ fourth season with the Bullsharks.  He brings over 25 years of coaching experience both from USS and High School levels.  Previous club teams have been Black Dog, Black Line and Richfield swim clubs.  He has also coached for St. Thomas Academy (Non-Free Coach), Jefferson (Boys and Girls Head Coach), and Kennedy (Boys Head Coach).  Currently he looks forward to his 9th season as the Head Coach for the Eagan Boys Swim Team where they will be defending Conference and Section champions.  He is a 5 time Section Coach of the Year and 7 time Conference Coach of the Year and in 2015 was the Class AA Boy's Coach of the Year.  Chris is also entering his 2nd season as the Head Coach of the Northfield High School Gator Girls team.  He will be the first to remind you that he swam exactly zero of the events that helped those teams be successful.  He feels incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many great families that have produced fantastic kids who happen to enjoy the sport of swimming almost as much as Chris does.  Chris feels that our sport attracts intelligent, hardworking, creative kids who are eager to find out just how good they can be.
