Olga Splichalova Espinosa

CEO & Head Coach & Coach - Seniors (S)

Olga is the founder of St. Croix Swim Club.  She has been with the club since it was formed in 2000. In 2016, Olga was named Chief Executive Officer for St. Croix Swim Club.  In addition to overseeing all levels of swimming, she coaches the Senior group.  Olga is responsible for all wet-side club operations and leads the dry-side as well.  Prior to coaching at SCSC, Olga worked with Edina Gators, Park Center High School as a head coach for two years and Omni Swim Club. A competitive swimmer herself, Olga was a part of the Czech National Team for 11 years.  She is a two-time Olympian - 1992 (6th place finish) and 1996, a European Champion. She is a Czech National Record Holder as well as World Record Holder.  Olga is also a 1993 World Cup Winner. Olga is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and a member of the University of Minnesota's Golden Gophers, a Big Ten Champion, an NCAA All American, and a U of M Hall of Fame Inductee. She is married, has two children and lives in St. Paul.  Olga's daughter is an SCSC swimmer.

Judith Lallier

Judy started her swim career when she was 7 ½ years old.  She totally fell in love with the sport.  From there, Judy worked hard and qualified for her first National Championship Meet at age 13 in the 200 Breaststroke.  Judy became a consistent top eight national finisher in the 200 IM plus a top finisher at the Olympic Trials.  Judy was offered a full scholarship and swam for the University of Florida.  She competed on USA National Teams in Moscow, Leningrad, Stockholm, Paris, East Berlin and London.  Judy went on to a rewarding Masters career including over 20 National titles.  She holds many current State titles and at one point, held World Records in the 100 and 200 Backstroke and 200 IM. Judy coached swim teams in Alaska for 10 years and has been coaching in Minnesota for the past 3 years.  Judy joined St. Croix Swim Club in 2017.

 

 

 

Marybeth Rosell

Marybeth has been a member of the St. Croix Swim Club coaching staff since 2001. Marybeth grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended Southern Methodist University on a swim scholarship. Marybeth moved to Minnesota in 1993 and began teaching Red Cross swimming lessons at the River Valley Athletic Club in Stillwater. She continues to teach both group and private lessons at River Valley which helps recruit swimmers for SCSC. She is a mother of three boys, Adam, Connor and Brennan who were all accomplished SCSC swimmers.  Marybeth still swims in a masters swim program.

Tara Noer

Tara Noer joined the St. Croix Swim Club coaching staff in the fall of 2007. Tara began her competitive swimming career at age five when she was a member of the Hastings Aquanauts in Hastings, MN. She later joined the South East Metro Sharks (SEMS) in Woodbury, MN. Tara continued her swimming career throughout high school and competed at the Minnesota State Championships as well as many national swim events. She earned athletic and academic scholarships to attend the University of Minnesota where her primary events were the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 200 and 500 freestyle. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Biology and continues to swim and compete in local triathlons. In addition to coaching at SCSC, Tara is also the Aquatic Director and Junior Swim Team coach at River Valley Athletic Club. She is married, has three children, and lives in Stillwater.

Dennis Dadashev

Dennis grew up in Minnetonka, attended and swam at Hopkins High School. Dennis also swam for the Aquajets. He attended UW-River Falls and majored in Political Science.  Dennis swam for UWRF for a year.  Unfortunately when the swim program was cut, Dennis searched for something to fill the void.  He joined the coaching staff at River Falls High School as an assistant. After one season as the boys assistant, Dennis was also named the Head Coach for the girls swim team!  Dennis currently coaches for the Eden Prairie Boys High School Swim Team.  He is working on a graduate program for a Masters Degree in Public Administration. And, in his spare time, he is an avid Minnesota Timberwolves fan and loves to cook!

Emily Bedford

Emily Bedford is an Alumni of St. Croix Swim Club.  She swam for the club from 2005 through 2010.  Emily grew up in Seattle, Washington.  She started to swim competitively when she was 7 years old.  Emily quickly found her passion swimming long distance freestyle and butterfly.  The 200 was one of her favorites.  She moved to Hudson, Wisconsin, in 2005 and joined the club.  She attended college at the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.  She taught swimming lessons and coached throughout her college career.  Emily is a first grade teacher in St. Paul.  She is excited to be back with St. Croix, this time, out of the water!

Dianna Mollenhauer

Dianna started coaching in 2008 for Barracuda Aquatics Club, and has coached at other clubs within the metro area before coming to SCSC in the spring of 2014. Her main groups were 12 and under's working on developing technique, kicking and having fun! Her favorite thing about coaching is seeing the kids grow not only as swimmers but as all around people. It's great to see the light bulb go off after the kids figure something out that has been difficult to master and seeing all of the hard work pay off. Dianna grew up in Jordan, MN and swam two years for Barracuda Aquatics Club in high school before attending Minnesota State University - Mankato to study Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. While at Mankato, Dianna swam Distance Freestyle and backstroke; placed Top 16 in the NCC Conference for the 1,650ys Freestyle and 200yd Backstroke in 2005-06 and 2006-07 and was a two year letter winner. She was voted the Mavericks "Most Improved Swimmer" three seasons 2003 - 06; and she served as Co-Captain and received the Maverick Achievement Award for Senior Student-Athlete Excellence in 2006-07. While not on the pool deck, Dianna is a Design Engineer. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors hunting, fishing and attending sporting events. She also still enjoys competing in open water and pool competitions.

Abigail Doeksen

Abby joined the St. Croix Swim Club coaching staff in the Spring of 2015. She grew up in London, and moved to Stillwater when she was seven years old. Abby began swimming with St. Croix Swim Club at the age of 10. She continued her swimming career throughout High School swimming for both St. Croix Swim Club and Stillwater where her main events were the sprint freestyle and backstroke events. Abby began school at the University of Minnesota in the fall of 2015 where she is studying Finance and Accounting. She is also on the University of Minnesota's Rowing team and she placed second in her event at Big 10s in 2016. Abby's little sister, Sarah, also swims for St. Croix. 

Maria Blinkman

Maria grew up in Hudson, Wisconsin, with her two younger brothers and four cats. She is currently a nursing student at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Maria has been a swimmer since she was nine years-old, swimming for a club team in her hometown until she moved to Singapore at age fourteen. In Singapore, she was a member of the varsity swim team of a multinational high school and competed on an international level, travelling as far as Australia for swim meets. When she returned to the United States, Maria and her brothers joined St. Croix Swim Club, where they finally found their perfect swim home! Maria is passionate about swimming and has previously worked as a lifeguard and water safety instructor.  She also taught swim lessons.  Maria continues to swim and compete through a student-run swim club when not in class, studying or coaching for St. Croix.
