Don Galuzzi

Felix Festa - Silver & Gold Coach

In the 53 years that he has been coaching age group, high school and college swimmers, Don Galluzzi has never felt that he was going to a "job" or "going to work."  That has continued to be the case for Coach Don, now with Condors since 2014, as he has returned to his roots in Metro age group swimming from the days when he co-coached the successful Gotham and GAK teams with his brother and fellow Metro Hall of Fame Honoree, Len Galluzzi.

The most satisfying aspect of Don's time with Condors to date has been working with the group of swimmers that started with him in the Silver group (one of the teams he currently co-coaches) in the spring of 2014, as he continued coaching them moving in to the Gold and later Gold Elite groups during the 2015 & 2016 seasons.  The 2016-2017 season finds these same swimmers continuing their steady development as members of the Condors Senior groups.  They are evidence, in Don's mind, that swimming is a process, and that these  swimmers and their families have bought into this approach toward the values found in the sport of competitive swimming.  The process continues as those swimmers move on towards high school and college swimming, along with USA Swimming at the Metro, Regional and National levels, as that exposure and success is what a Condors Swimming career embraces.
