Brent G Graham
Director of Competitive Swim
Brent is originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana and has been involved with swimming for the last 20+ years as an athlete and as a coach.
As a swimmer he sompeted primarily in IM, Distance Free, Breaststroke and Open Water. As an age group swimmer, he competed at the state and zone level, and at the senior level was a High School State Finalist and Junior Nationals qualifier. In college he swam for the NCAA Division III program at Wabash College and was a school record holder in the 500 Freestyle and an NCAA Nationals qualifier in the 400IM. He still loves to be in the water and hopes to have the opportunity to compete in masters and open water events in the area.
As a coach, Brent has worked with kids of all ages and ability levels including summer recreational teams, High School teams and USA teams. He has coached school record holders, state champions, zone qualifiers and national qualifiers.
Brent strongly believe that excellence in swimming is founded on dedication, strong technique and purposeful practice. Swimming can not only be used to help the individual grow stronger physically but must also strive to help individuals grow mentally and spiritually. Swimming is a sport where success can be lost by one’s own actions but cannot be realized without the help of others. A swimmer must be a productive member of their team just as the team must contribute to the community for everyone to be successful.
