Starting with only 4 swimmers, the team quickly grew to well over 50 in the first year.   In 2002, the independent team merged with the ECA and would operate as a satellite program.   Coach Scott continues to run the successful satellite program; however, the accomplishments of his swimmers in Washington helped him secure a coaching position in Greenville as well in 2005. He was soon promoted to Head Age Group Coach.  During Coach Scott's career his swimmers have set multiple team records, placed very high in state competition including several state and sectional titles, and also achieving national top-16 times.

Coach Scott's love for the sport stemmed from his successful swimming career in high school where he set Washington High School Records in both the 50 and 100 freestyles.   He has a passion for helping kids reach their potential in both swimming and life.   He resides in Washington with his wife Emily and their daughters Elli, Anna Brey, and Hayley Scott.

While Coach Amy enjoyed swimming growing up, there was not a year-round swim team in her home town. She rode horses competitively, and competed on the equestrian team at UNC-Chapel Hill. After graduating, she was looking for a new sport to fill her competitive void, so she started swimming with the goal of competing in triathlons. She was fortunate to join a Masters Team which was coached by Olympic silver medalist, Greg Burgess. After a year of training with Coach Burgess, she won the 2002 NC Masters Short Course State Championship (20-24AG), won several open water swims, and was consistently the first female out of the water in triathlons. She continued to focus solely on triathlons and have won several overall female titles across the state over the past decade. In 2006, she was nationally ranked 4th in her age group. After the birth of her second son in 2008, she switched over to the sport of off-road triathlon, competing on a national and international amateur level. In 2009, she finished 8th in her age group at the Xterra World Championships in Maui, and in 2012, finished 3rd in her age group at the ITU Cross Triathlon World Championship in Pelham, Alabama.
